Great game....too many mistakes and penalties by the Coogs...NHS played a solid game....although it got a little crazy toward the end.....

Good game so far....thought more points scored by NHS but both defenses are good....LM players have reacted to certain instigations and I don't know why the kid was thrown out maybe because the refs knew he was thrown out last week...NHS has a solid O-line although they hold 45 on every play....it's comical at times to see fans complain to no avail. They may get the call one before the game is over. I think NHS opens up the pass and LM steps up. I'm interested to see this second half....

[/quote] I agree the officials blew calls all day.....especially the holding calls (well they did call it once) on the CS linemen (65) trying to contain LMs defensive end (45).

The Mavs run the spread as well as anyone in the state, with some big time talent to boot. So believe it or not Navasota did not invent the spread offense & won't "shock" LM or their coaches. I think the Coogs have a good shot. [/quote] The 2003 and 2006  State Champion LM team ran the spread and the teams there after. I dont think its anything new. The secondary will be tested however. But only if the defense gives Navasota enough time to throw the ball....

There coaches are former La Marque players and coaches. Good pedigree.......

This will be a good game to watch. One thing I do know about the LM coach is he never shows his hand. Those that say the LM they saw can not compete with Navasota have to understand that offense that they saw was very vanilla. I mean he LITERALLY used the same 7-8 plays the Cold Springs whole game. Dr. Jackson is a chess player and he seems to play the game well when adapted to football. I think it will be a good game all the same. Not a blow out but a good game.
