Kickoff returned to the L 26 shotgun spread 4 wide run right side for 1 2nd ad 9

Xp good 21-7 Lumberton 5:34 to halftime

Bounced it out wide left TD Vidor

Run up the middle almost scored brought down at the 2 4th and goal at the 2 yard line

Run left side for 1 3rd and goal from the 10

Run wide left for 4 2nd and goal at the 11

Short run left and a dang holding flag makes it 1st and goal from the Lumberton 15 yard line.

Couple runs and we’re at the 5 1st and goal from the 5

Pirates just completed a pass of all things and it popped for a big gain to the Lumberton 15.

The Raiders look a lot bigger this year too, especially against or Pirate squad. We don’t have much size this season but that Lumberton defense wow, all of those guys look big.

Too many playmakers spread out all over the field with a QB who can get it to them and an RB that is a bowling ball. Pirates are going to have to dig deep tonight but this doesn’t look like last years Raiders team. They look better on Defense too, they look good real good.

Ltown RB 20 looks almost unstoppable like they don’t want anything to do with tackling him. Raiders moving quickly down the field already into Pirate territory.

Ran a sweep right didn’t even get close lost a couple, turnover on downs Lumberton ball at the 36.

End of 1st qtr 14-0 not looking good for the Pirates but they are driving deep into Lumberton territory finally. Have to score some points on this drive but now it’s 4th and 5 at the 34 yard line.

Pirates in business at the Ltown 34 better capitalize on this good fortune, they looked dead in the water now have a little spark.

And immediately broke a 50 yard run on the next play wow what a turn of events.

Lol Pirates just took the ball from the Ltown RB at the 1 yard line as he was mowing people down on his way to the end zone.

Hopefully Vidor fans can add beating Lumberton to the recurring theme after the next game.

Guilty as charged on your first point but I’d never want our AD/HC ran out of town. Because I have seen over the years how he builds those kids up and know what he can do with a good group of talent. Making a big change like that and bringing someone new in doesn’t always work out and I don’t think there would be any big name, good coaches knocking the doors down to coach at Vidor. Admittedly I was not impressed with the coordinators early on and thought we could be doing some things differently. I have felt that way at times for the past several seasons but apparently they are trying new things, making changes and opening it up a little bit. Second point, I’m sure 7 is not all they have but it felt that way last night. Nobody else really got it going and I would have used him even more. We simply could not stop him, very good RB but I wouldn’t be using him on defense against a team like Vidor. To your 3rd point, if we move up then we move back up. No big deal, I’d like to see us playing PNG and Ned again. 5a may have some good teams but there are also some programs that aren’t all that consistent. The Pirates have shown in the past they can compete and win there.

Maybe they can transfer over the Chain Gang defense or Blue Link whatever the hell WOS calls it now.
