  1. It's not so irrelevent if your offense is based upon the pass. It can expedite your offensive game plan to a whole new level. Gets all the "timing" down. It can really help a team if that team runs the spread. Just my opinion...
  2. I believe final was 12-4 Hardin. Not 100% sure on the score.
  3. Not sure who pitched for EC, it was two different lefty's though...
  4. He has not signed as of yesterday. He is still talking to basketball coaches and recruiters still has not decided on a sport to play. But he is good enough to play any sport on the next level. I just hope he don't wait too long. But back to the thread, I think they have a very good chance at playoffs next year. They had several young varsity players that gained experience. The offense that is left has another whole year with Coach Haynes. I think they will be just fine next year.
  5. I'd like to play for your team and that particular scorekeeper. I can guarantee you Hardin had more than 3 errors. Not 100 percent on the hits but 15 sounds way high. But I didn't keep a scorebook. I did say, in my earlier post, that both teams put the bat on the ball though...
  6. Anahuac wasn't anywhere close to 15 hits. The actual number is about half that.
  7. Nolan pitched complete game for the Hornets. First CG ever pitched for him. Hardin still having a ton of errors on defense. Both teams put the bat on the ball pretty well though. Congrats Hornets. This week will be especially tough on Hardin as these rain out are being made up, because their not real deep in pitching. Nolan's complete game helps em out alot though. Gives them a much better chance against Kountze and Buna this Friday and Sat.
  8. I think Kountze, Hardin, EC, and Anahuac will be the top teams. (no particular order) Deweyville, and Warren will be improved a bit, but Buna is losing a lot of seniors, they may have the hardest road to a playoff spot. However, Buna's program is good enough to accomplish it. Bottom line, will be another interesting race.
  9. Game cancelled. Will be played Monday @ 4 pm.
  10. I think this will be a good game. Hardin will send Nolan to the mound (i think). Remsing and Cathriner both pitched Tue. against HD. If Nolan can keep his control in check (usually not a problem), and get some "efficient" innings, the Hornets stand a chance. The problem is, the Hornets haven't had alot of efficient innings this year. Defense has been a bit sloppy at times.
  11. Remsing and Cathriner combined for the win. They both pitched well. Cathriner is the big surprise this year on the mound for the Hornets. Not overpowering, but good control, (keeps walks) to a minimum.
  12. Nederland vs. PN-G makes Dave Campbells "Top Ten" football rivalries. [Hidden Content]
  13. I've known Coach Stapert since he coached in West Hardin, way back in the late 80's. He's a special person, well deserving of some props. Congrats Spurger. Keep it up Stump.
  14. There times and names arent even listed in the final results from last years regional results, so that means they didnt even qualify for the finals, and if they would have ran those times they would have been in the finals on saturday.. 2A Region III 100 meter dash final results (1st place Meekings- Winona 10.94, 2nd place Truitt- Marks 11.00, 3rd place Thompson- Troup 11.17) 2A Region III 200 meter dash final results (1st place Meekings- Winona 21.76, 2nd place Horace- Carrigan Camden 22.06, 3rd place Thompson- Troup 22.43) DOH!
  15. Should be soon, I know they have already been selected.
  16. No doubt about it. To this point, Kountze, Anahuac, and Deweyville are looking poised to make a run. Hardin, Warren, and EC (IMO), still seem to be inconsistent at best.
  17. They are looking really good this year. Posting some impressive wins over teams like Vidor and Jasper in the Lufkin Tourney, this year.
