As we conclude a fantastic season in our first year of 12U, we are looking for a few players to complete our roster for the upcoming season. Sun Devils Softball has continued to expand over the last several years with competitive and championship winning teams from 10U-16U. We are looking for top players to join our softball family who want to grow as players and as people. Open practices begin Thursday, July 7th at 6pm and will continue next Tuesday and Thursday. Every open practice is held at our facility where we have two fields and 7 cages on the corner of Major Dr and Folsom Dr in Beaumont. We have players from all over Southeast Texas so don't let distance deter you from checking us out. Our team is through playing for the summer, but we are looking to play a few more tournaments. My son is 8, but his team has been playing up in 9U all season. He is a great pitcher and plays catcher, first, and third. Hits well but not extremely fast. We are in good standing with our coaches and team, and can provide references from them as well as All Star coaches, where he made 8U and 9U all stars this season. I can also send you his hitting stats from the season if you'd like (book kept by head coach). If you need a player for a weekend or the rest of the summer, please let us know. Agreed on the expectations, and also, I would be a little more interested in the particular coach/coaches than just the organization.

Thanks to everyone who came out this past weekend.  We had a great turnout.  Now it's down to tough decisions.

Sun Devils Baseball Organization is excited to announce that they are branching out to include softball as well.  This organization is one of the premier select baseball organizations in the state.  Last June alone, 4 current or former Sun Devils were selected in the first round of the MLB draft.  Over 100 former Sun Devil players have played or are playing in a Major League organization or Division I colleges around the country.  In addition, the Sun Devils have won the Gold Medal at the USA Olympic Baseball Junior Nations and the 2011 17U Perfect Game World Championship. They are bringing the same concept to select softball.  The idea is to use their training and development concepts to help advance softball players to the next level.  The SD organization also offers in-house pitching, hitting, and fielding lessons at their own facilities (including 2 fields and 8 indoor cages). On Sunday, March 17th at 2:30pm, we will have tryouts for our 10U team at the Sun Devils Training Facility, 3810 N. Major Drive, Beaumont, TX 77713, behind Wesley Methodist Church.  Other teams will follow in the near future.  This is a late to get started but we will hit the ground running.
