I'm enjoying watching them play and hope they can right the ship.
I actually think its the opposite. We have few freshmen playing Varsity this year and a JV squad that's pretty good. We only lose Haynes, Linn and Warren this year. I'm actually anxious to see what D. Harper will do once he's cleared to play next week.
My wife and I were talking last night with one of the kids, and he agrees with you. Some real solid kids down on JV who haven't been moved up yet, including a couple of Juniors who've been running the system since elementary school, as well as Graylond who's still in middle school.   Is D. Harper the one that transferred in from Beaumont? If he is, I've seen him play and he will also be a good addition as district play starts.   Thank you all for indulging and educating me as I am still wet behind the ears here and continue to learn.

If half the things I hear about the coaches there are true (especially Coach Joubert), then they should be able to overcome a shaky start to this season. Didn't mean to imply that the season was lost. Sorry if I sounded gloomy.
 3. Any idea who's gonna step up next year for the Lions? I don't understand the up-and-down this year. I mean they've got some talent, but what's going on? At least the JV kids seem to have it together game-in and game-out. Maybe a few of them will make a good transition next season. Any opinions? I'm interested in getting other folks' takes on this.
 4. Nice to see the Lions playing like they're capable of. Next up, Tenaha tournament, then district play. Good luck!
 5. How did the Kountze JV look? I know they did fairly well against a couple of Varsity squads (beat Kirbyville and Hull-Daisetta, before losing to H-D in the finals) in the West Hardin tourny not too long ago. Alex Orsot seems to be a pretty good player and the curly-haired kid, #25, has some energy and seems to go all out (might need to work on his offense, though).
