  1. No Problem and I myself am an Indian Fan too.
  2. I believe if you had read it correctly you would have seen that I gave a big ol congrats to Jasper and said that they well deserve it, however as I had read in many of these threads as they go on people from all teams start bashing the others so therfore I just gave allitle suggestion to the good ol and well deserving Jasper boys to keep there title pure by staying humble otherwise the title they so well deserves could be tainted by being declaired a trem with no respect and that would not be good. So, if you took it the wrong way Indian boy or what ever you call yourself, I really don't care. Jasper, I hope you understood what I was getting at. You are a great team and did deserve the State Championship, and to tell you the truth, I really hope you get it again next year too, that would be the best and would definently give you the title of Best team ever to go along with it. Again CONGRATULATIONS!!!! :o
  3. I don't know and don't really care but what I do care about is people trying to run it in the faces of those who did not win State. Yes Jasper you do deserve a big congratulations but let's please be humble and take the win like gentlemen and not like some one who is degrading to the sport. Also, I would like to extend a big way to go to all of Southeast Texas teams in all class levels 1A to 5A it was a really good and surprising year. And for those who have signed to play with both Universities as well as Junior Colleges, Well done and hope to see some if not all of you in the Pro's One day. Jasper Congradulations and don't let anyone degrade your school or your team by acting like an Ass and degrading the teams that fell short this year. It could have been anyones game but the cards fell in your lap this year, Next year could be different so please watch out for KARMA. Again Congratulations you deserved it.
  4. Congradulations to all whom have been named on this tread, you well deserve it. :o
  5. [move]CONGRADULATIONS KRIS HEARN :o [/move]
  6. Are your saying that kids in 2A ball pitchs slower the kids in 5A ball....I don't think so. A ground ball hit to the middle infield is a ground ball hit to the middle in field. Even if he does pitch alittle slower a ground ball is still a ground ball.
  7. PNG lost 2 of their starters Anyones ballgame now though could go either way
  8. Stats are the way everyone tracks every player in every sport in America and beyond...ESPEN tracks stats.. you may have the best technique but if you are making to many eras and someone else whos technique may be alittle flawed has less eras and stats are better at the end of the year ...then at that time the lesser is the best. The best has the best stats and thats all there is -- otherwise why keep up with stats.
  9. ??? ??? ??? ??? I have read alot of opinons on who the best middle infielder is in SE Texas. And as usual the topic gets a little off beat with Bloggers getting feelings hurt and bashing each other on these forums. So let's get back on track with the Post Heading......Best Infielder in SEX? How about giving the stats of the infielders, stats are almost the only way to prove the best infielder anyway. The best infielder last year might not be the best this year. Give stats and then it will settle the argument. :-* ;D
  10. ??? Just spoke to my son who plays for LCM and he said that Stone called and moved the game to tomorrow however, Stone called coach back and said he would wait til 3 when they get out of school to make the def disision. Game may still be played?? want really know til after 3
  11. Kris Hearn - LCM However, the Westbrook boys are also great, Kris played with them for many years through Select ball for 5 years> Kris was at SS and Tim was at 2nd. Great Kids all of them. Harrington is a great ball player too. Bo not know the Bunner kid though.
  12. A few years ago my son had the privilage of having a women upmire behind the plate and from what my husband said, being an umpire him self for the past 25 years was she was pretty dam good. So if women not only have to bare the children, cook, clean, be a taxi driver, and much much more while their husbands only go to work, come home and sit on their ass saying where is my supper, then they should also have the right to umpire ballgames. So lady ump if you are any good then keep it up, however if you are as bad as some of the men I've seen the please do something else and not give these male shovenist any excuse to bash any other women upmires that may just kick ass. And men just rememeber, in most things you could not make it in this world if it were not for women. (Home, Work, you name it) And just face it some women are better then you any thing you do. So grt off your high horse and just enjoy the game!!!!! :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*
  13. Little league coaches are mostly just dads out to have fun with their kids, teach the game the best they know how. If they went to college to be a coach they would not be coaching little league they would be doing high school and college. Agian Umpires do go through training and if they need more there is more training available but to be able to call balls and strikes you have to practice while doing a game because evry pitcher is different so every ball or strike to will be different, and just like a picther can't through a stike every time like he wants to a umpire can't get them right every time either.
  14. They are training it is called on the job training and like I said earlier some just don't get it but the kids are not suffering because of it. If you look at it on the other hand coaches should go through training before they or allowed to coach because in the last 19 years I have seen some really stupid coaches that IMO could not coach their way out of a wet paper sack. Also parents should go through training before the are allowed to watch a game because many of them don't know the rules but think they do and make big fools out of themselves when they open their mouth to complain about the umpires. It's little league, it is a time to have fun and learn the game of baseball and for the umpires it is also a time for them to learn how to ump so they can move on to do high school games and college after that, and guess what even the pro's. Just like the players are striving for something better so or the umpires. I suggest that those who have never done it before, go do it and let your first game be in Vidor and you will understand what umpires go through. No I am not bashing Vidor, I was born and raised in Vidor, graduated from there and spent many many days and years at the little leagues in Vidor so I do know what I am talking about when it comes to the fans. So suit up and go call a game or 2 and you will have your answer on what a umpire has to go through in their quest for learning how to umpire a game.
  15. 1.& 2. LCM / PN-G 3.& 4. Vidor / Dayton 5. Central 6., 7., & 8 Nederland, Ozen, Lumberton ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? It's anyones guess
  16. How many games in district play has the dogs won?????? I say LCM however, never underestimate the game of baseball :, ANYTHING can happen... Good Luck to both teams but mostly LCM... ;D
  17. I know from 1st hand experience that umpires do go through traing because there are 4 umpires in my family, and yes it is also a very thankless job but there are those who you give thanks everyonce in awhile. Most of the time it takes practice going out and standing behind the plate calling those balls and strikes. Just like it takes practice to get up there and hit the ball at any age it is not an easy thing to do. However you are right some umpires just suck at it and will never get better so if the league no longer wants a particular umpire because of that reason then they should scratch that umpire. But just remember there are some that are good but still has a bad game here and there. Like mentioned before some of these men go to work at 5 in the morning then rush to a 5:15 ballgame with nothing to eat, listen to a bunch of parents whom either don't want to take the time to help out in any situation weather it be umpiring, coaching, or helping in the concession stand but love to give there opions on everything and they them self couldn't call a strike if you put it straight over the bag for them. Then the 7:15 ballgame begins and they have to listen to more jurks all over agian. Some of these men do umpire for the love of the game and others do it because their families would not eat if they didn't make the money they are paid to umpire these games. Some of these men work full time jobs but still can't make ends meat if it weren't for umpiring, they get no time off, work 7 days a week from 5am til 10pm and haven't had a vacation ever. Cut them some slack and give them a pat on the back because I have a strong feeling that the ones complaining have never had to work that hard just to keep food in their kids mouth and clothing on their backs. And believe me those men also enjoy watching your kids grow up playing baseball and would never do anything to hurt them and your children will grow up loving and respecting those men and will always remember them long after you are gone.
  18. Good Luck to the Bears tonight with a shout out to Varsity's Brad Hearn
  19. There are a few options but unable to say at this time
  20. It was a family desision, moving to LCM had been in discussion for several years and when the hurricane hit awhile back, had to move to a small place due to the fact that rent prices out the roof and good homes were unavailable. The Hearns have family in Orange County and Kris' father was planning to go to school so the move made it better for the whole family. Nothing personnel against PN-G, the town and friends are missed very much by all but LC-M is also a great place to live and go to school so the decision to go to LC-M was the right thing to do for personnel reasons and nothing more. Thanks for asking.
