Yesterday, the legislative council of the UIL has approved the expansion of the 4A/3A soccer conference from 32 districts to 64 districts beginning in 2008-2009! Back to normal size districts and three tournaments! Yeah baby!

If this does not pass, then both as TASCO President and a fellow 4A coach, I recommend that you either zone your district or play everyone once so that you can get back to tournaments and non-district games to figure things out....IMHO

Interesting sidenote here is she was the back-up and was later cut. A little more history - when a freshman in HS in California, she was also the back-up keeper. When she did not play in the opening play-off game, her father turned the HS team into the CIF (UIL) for a trivial rules violation* that caused the team to have to forfeit all their games. Then at UNC, when she couldn't crack the starting line-up and was cut, she sues Anson Dorrance for sexual harassment. If it was so rampant and daily, why did only 2 players of the over 30 that would have been there for the 2 years have a problem with this alleged behavior?????? Yes, I know Anson, and this is crap......... *the rule violation involves the CIF rule that only 11 players from a single HS can play on the same club team. Apparently a 12th player guest played in a tournament and so months later the unhappy dad turned them in. Obviously grudges run deep in this family........
