I remember the year that Crosby beat Dayton and listening to all of their fans blow hot air.  I don't hear much of that anymore from Crosby fans.  You had your year, be happy.  Don't add anymore heartache to the lives of your players than what they already have coming to them.  Just some friendly advice.

Before everyone gets excited about beating a FW team in a scrimmage, this was not the Friendswood of old.  They were small, and slow.  No lineman over 6'1 on the oline and they used to be giants there.  Dayton's offensive line was much bigger than FW but did not dominate like they should have in running the ball.  Dayton will be fine in the district that we play in.  A much better test for the offense will be Nederland next week. 

Dayton is not very good at this point.

May be getting some help from a former Bronco OC if the rumors are true.

Just heard that Coach Nations will join th Eagles staff as the new OC in Barbers Hill.  He has been the associate principal at the high school this past year.  Hate to see him go there of all places.  He knows our defense better than anyone.

Team.  The coaching leadership will be there.  How the players react to that leadership will determine their success.

Would have been about a 50 yard FG attempt. They should have gone ahead and kicked if they were going to run that play.  Miss the days, last 10 years, of having a good short yardage package. Stewart had a lot of confidence in Nations in those situations.

That was hard to watch.

Stewart is not the only coach they are missing.  Like it or not Nations was going to run the ball first and find ways to make the run game successful.  The pass fed off of the run and that formula was pretty successful, even in down years. 

The way Dayton is playing right now, GCM.

There is not an equal on this freshmen team to either one of those.  It takes someone very special to contribute as a freemen and if they are not a starter you do not want them on Friday night sitting the bench. 

Bringing up some of the freshmen will do nothing but get them hurt.  They are not physically or mentally ready for Friday nights.  There are some serious character issues that need to be addressed on this team and as long as there are selfish players on the field this will be the results.  We will struggle.

Everyone from Dayton was hoping you were crazy.

To put it nicely, Dayton is not very good this year.  No leadership.

I drank from the Stewart punch.  This one is still being stirred.

The only way that Lee pulls this out is if they try and put their best athletes into space and wait for Dayton to miss a tackle and score on big plays.  I don't think they can do that for the 40-50 points that Dayton should put up on them. 

I will make sure that I use spell check.  I am a huge Bronco fan but I don't drink the kool-aid.  I will do my best to be objective about everything purple.

The reason the bubble screen has worked well in the past was the commitment to the run game.  The bubble is working now, just not to the extent that we are used to.
