The injured lineman Tyler Hayes had a successful surgery today. They inserted a titanium rod in his leg to support the two broken bones (tibia and fibula). He is expected to be released tomorrow afternoon from the hospital. Doctors say that he should be able to play again next year if all goes well during the recovery. Very horrific looking injury saturday...but thank the Lord he is on the road to recovery. Can't wait to get him back!!

Coach Spears, I really appreciate it brother!! Couldn't think of a better man that I would want to replace me up there! Ya'll keep killing it buddy...Proud of all of you. Now, Friday night when my LCM Bears take on you WOS Mustangs...try not to root against me :)

Thanks guys! As far as me being enthusiastic....well yeah you could say that  ;) (maybe a little too much some times), I just love this game and have a passion for leading young men to do the best that they can do on and off the field. Just wanted to let everyone know that I left CCS on great terms. Coach Crouch called me and offered me a postition and I talked it over with CCS Administration, my coaching staff, and players. I had some pretty good advice from all of them to take advantage of going to a great school. It was not an easy choice to leave a program that I helped build from the ground up, an amazing coaching staff that is like family, and a group of boys that would do just about anything for me. I am very honored to have been the coach at CCS, but I am also looking forward and honored to be a part of Randy's staff up at LC-M with a great group of coaches up there as well. I hope I can bring some good stuff to the table and help push the Bears into the playoffs.

What a game our girls played!! A game that we should not have even played due to everyone being very sick. They showed incredible heart and desire. We came up short, but the character they displayed way out shines any victory!! I personally feel that had we been healthy, the outcome would have been different. However...you play with the cards that you are dealt, and do the best you can. This is a special group of girls. Special thanks to our seniors.... Samantha Leifeste, Haley Brack, Lauren Jackson, Amanda Royer, Ashlyn Akhtar, and senior managers Madison Trahan and Ivey Benoit. Great season ladies!! I would like to congratulate our boys team as they won and now are on to the State Final 4....they play Friday at 9pm in Fort Worth

All but 2 of the CCS Lady Lions are sick with the flu. All have temps and are not in school. Even one of the Coaches is sick today. We play on Saturday for the Regional game. Even if the girls are all in school tomorrow.....doubt they will have the energy to play a full game on Saturday. Prayers would be greatly appreciated.

Lady Lions pulled out a close one in a very physical and tough game. We were out sized at every position, but played hard and hustled and pulled it out. Area game will be at home this Saturday with the Boys to follow. Boys beat Brenham 65-34!!

CCS won 26-24 in defensive game. Home Bi-District game this Tuesday. Boys won as well. They will also be playing at home on Tuesday.

CCS wins 62-7......moves to 7-1 in district play. One game playoff with Houston Family Christian on Thursday at Beaumont Legacy. Boys and Girls games....starts at 6pm  Samantha Leifeste had a triple double last night....24 pts 16 rb and 12 asst

We play the Oaks on Tuesday the 7th at home....Played at Family Christian on Tuesday night and lost a really sloppy game 28-23.

Boys played incredible last night!! Final score does not reflect the intensity of the game and how well they played. Great effort, should be a BIG momentum push right before the final run of district.

No game...Banff does not have a girls game. Lady Lions are 5-0 in District play

CCS pulled out a close one....52-5 last night. Puts us at 5-0 in District play. Tough week next week with Hull-Daisetta, Starks, and Kingwood NE all coming to town. Nothing wrong with a little tougher competition right before playoffs start. Our boys won big last night too at 76-19. Starters only played the first and part of the 3rd quarters last night. Believe they are 6-0 in District and looking pretty strong.

OCC 42 Texas Christian 23. OCC girls are 4-0 in District and we are looking better and better.

Out boys played well last night. It was a dog fight to the finish. We were up 6-0 after the 1st and down 8-6 at half. We did not give up a first down until mid way through the 2nd. Our running back CJ Wagner hurt his ankle pretty bad right before half and that really slowed him down. We had the lead halfway through the fourth, but they returned a kickoff for a score and then we fumbled the next kickoff to give them a short field. Almost came out with the win.....had a receiver open in the endzone and the ball went off his fingertips long. Could not be more proud of the boys and how they played not only last night, but all seson long. We played a very good Living Stones team last night that deserved their #4 ranking. Their QB is very talented and FAST. Fasted kid we have seen all season long. To lose 36-32 when everyone had us beat by 45 or more says a lot about our boys. Big game next Saturday up in Dallas.

Hey everyone just trying to get this out to as many as possible. Our game this Saturday against Bellville has been cancelled. They are suffering from the injury bug and are not able to put enough guys on the field Saturday. The forefit gives us a record of 3-0 in district. Wish we could play for numerous reasons, but this one is out of our control. Please let anyone you know who was planning on coming to the game that is now off. Thank you all so much for all the support in our inagural season!! It is greatly appreciated.

We had the boys load up on Gatorade the night before, but I learned that the sugar content of Gatorade is what was causing the cramping (according to EMT that came). LC-M coach TJ Reed told me this morning at church that they use Pedia-Lite the night before. Something to look into. But yall are right...the heart of the boys was incredible. Coming out and putting 37 points on the board in the first quarter was impressive for the first game, but the heart that they showed to finish the game under the conditions that were happening was amazing!!

Just an update on our player....he was suffering from dehydration and heat exhaustion. It caused him to have an irregular heart beat, which is now under control. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers...it was pretty concerning there for awhile. Our boys sure did show a lot of heart today with everyone going down with cramps. Playing basically the entire second half with only 6 guys was crazy!!
