Last years PNG team had similar problems. They managed to make it to the playoffs. It is early in district, so there is still time to make some noise.

Gonna be a good district as usual. I will go this way: 1.Nederland 2. Dayton 3.LCM I too believe 3rd place will come down to a tie breaker for these reasons: Ozen will have the defensive mental lapses, Vidor will play with a lot of heart, PNG will be there because of their strong history. But LCM also has tradition and they are playing very well. Lumberton will throw in a upset or two and play spoiler down the stretch.

Micah Mosely, John Dishon, Casey Jackson , John Carnahan,David Murphy. Ferguson at WB , to me is more of a gap hitter, but will hit a couple. Rowell should hit a few.

Best pitching staffs are great, but without a solid defense they could never prove it. Last years Indians are a good example.

Mire gave up 2 unearned runs in the 8th inning of a 0-0 game against San Jac for a loss. I found that info at Mclennan's website.
