Deweyville's football players that play basketball were a little rusty Sat. They should be getting better in the weeks to come. It has to be hard for kids to go from sport to sport.

That coach resigned and left for a job in east Texas. I'm sure it is public record. Something to remember the A/D is responsible for all sports and over all sports. I'm sure it is like that in 99.9% of all schools in Texas.

Chad S. you will have to talk to the Superintendent and Principal about that. You should be more interested in the school district in which you live.

Another football hater starts a topic. I don't think he will leave for awhile. JV team only lost 1 game (PNG JV). They were district CHAMPS! I can see the Pirates making 6 or 7 straight playoff appearances in football. We now have 2 straight playoff teams in football! Wow! The A/D and his coaches are well respected by his players. He is a great fit in Deweyville and I for one hope that he and his coaching staff stay. If he ever leaves Coach Pachuca would also be a great fit in Deweyville and is well respected by the kids at the school. jmo

The Deweyville Pirates would like to thank the loyal fans from Deweyville that would follow us anywhere! The Pirates would also like to thank area fans from LCM, Orangefield, Orange and Dequincy,La. for there support. We had a huge turnout for the game. That is what makes me proud to be from this area!

I have not talked no trash on CC. If they win I'll be on here Monday giving they Congrats on the win and good luck. I have never ran or hide from anyone. Some people get a little more spirited than others. Just remember I'm Deweyville's # 1 Fan and that will never change win or lose.

Gentlemen, Let's all take a step back. Remenber this both teams are good or they would not be here at this time. Doesn't matter who they played or who they didn't play. These are both playoff teams meeting for the second year in a row. Both teams will come out and play with alot of heart and hard hitting. This is what Texas High School Football is all about!

I would take these 2 fine young men anyday of the week. Class acts and both fine young men representing each school. Good luck to the both of you. That would be a combined 5000 yard backfield 50 TDs Wow!

The Pirate defense gave up 2 yards against Kountze last Friday night in the first half. Kountze has some very good athletes on offense. This no doubt will be a hard hitting game. Look for the Pirates to have a big following Friday night in Sheppard ( hey Coach Hanks come over and visit Friday night).

Coach Barbay and Coach Thompson are 2 of the best coaches in the state. I was lucky enough to have played for Coach Thompson. The man is a class act.
