[size=14pt][color=red]IFA/VTD is offering at Ford Park in Beaumont, Texas on July 24-28th an "Open" National Tournament for teams to attend in the 14-43', 16U and 18U age divisions.  All teams have to do to participate in this event is register with IFA/VTD and enter the tournament.  The IFA/VTD World Series events to be held in the Dallas/Ft. Longtime fastpitch tournament director and umpire, Donnie Beck, from the Pasadena / LaPorte area passed away on Tuesday, March 20th.  Donnie has been a part of thousands of fastpitch players, coaches and umpires lives for over 30 years.  The softball community will miss his leadership and we offer his wife Margaret and sons Brian and Kevin our condolences.  Donnie's funeral will be Saturday at 11:00am at the Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home in South Houston.  Please remember Donnie and his family in your prayers.
