  1. not sure we've got a new coach and this is our first home game... it just depends on wat coach wants to do... i hope so... we did sometimes in football games during warmups... (for freshmen team)...
  2. we have a few juniors and seniors that can at HJ... and we have one freshmen that is really close... he's at 270 and hes like one of the youngest guys in our grade... its crazy....
  3. thats wat our coach told us today... so thats it...
  4. yeah why did we play at ya'lls junior high???
  5. its not like it matters HJ or Silsbee will most likely come in first and second anyways i think... and who else has a chance at third place.... i think the next best teams in the district would be like HF and Orangfield maybe... so its not like it matters
  6. i think it would be good to give the job to Eli Melton the assistant coach... cause then there's not as much change... your still doing the same basic things... the players already know/respect him... and i always like it when a head coach retires and they give the job to someone on the inside... just my opinion though
  7. they are doing pretty good... not sure about their exact record... they came in like 2nd or 3rd i think in the PNG tournament... the lost to LCM recently but they beat Central last night... the girls coach is my english teacher... lol... we talk about soccer in there alot...
  8. yeah thats what its supposed to be as of now... at least thats what my schedule says... if theres any change i'll find out tomorrow and try to get on and post it... but thats what it is....
  9. well i started the thread so i've just been trying to answer peoples questions about the freshmen teams... plus im an HJ freshmen... not on the b-ball team but i know all of them... so i take alot of interest in this...
  10. Joubert - Kountze head coach MY OPINION GOOD COACH, LOT OF TALENT, BUT THERE IS MORE TAUGHT IN ATHLETICS THAN ATHLETICS, MORALS. I WAS NOT THERE SO MAYBE EVERYBODY PLAYED BUT 111 TO 40 OR 50. THEM KIDS ARE SOMEONES BABY
  11. is this number of wins or season points???
  12. HJ led 1 to 0 at half and had dominated the first half... and i dont know what happened i guess they fell apart in the 2nd half and just lost it and gave up 5 goals...
  13. WH has been on fire lately ( have they lost a game this year???) so im gonna go with WH by at least 10... probly more...
  14. Gonna be a close one... i think that im gonna have to go with Silsbee but not by much maybe 4 or 5 points... if Silsbee wins then next tuesday (HJ vs. Silsbee) will count a lot more because thats gonna decide who is first and who is second...
  15. yeah... it pays off... cause even if you aren't starting you dont know whats gonna happen... cause i wasn't starting at the beginning of this year in football... but the guy ahead of me got hurt and i played like 1/2 to 3/4ths of the season... and if i hadn't been busting my butt lifting weights and at practice they woulda taken me out and put someone else in... so just cause u dont start doesn't mean that you wont get your chance sometime...
  16. yeah the HJ Freshmen are really good... they won district in 7th grade.. and maybe 8th if not they came in second... they've lost one game this year... it was a non-district game to some private school in houston... i think that they've only lost like 5 or 6 games in 3 years.. (7th grade, 8th grade, and 9th grade)... so yeah they are pretty good... and im trying to think of who # 10 is...
  17. yeah i just posted that HJ freshmen won tonight against WOS freshmen...
  18. Garrison and Timpson are crazy.... my dad played for Garrison (bulldogs)... he said in his senior year that some Timpson players hung a dead dog at the school by the field house.... and that one of the players on his team stole the Timpson mascot.... the story of the way the rivalry got started was that some Garrison guys went town to the attoyac river to meet some girls from timpson... the timpson football guys didn't like that and thats how the entire thing got started... the attoyac river seperates the two towns that are only 7 miles away... and each year when they play its called "The Battle of the Attoyac".
  19. Hardin Jefferson freshmen beat WOS tonight by 9 not sure what the score was but... they won by 9... they play Silsbee next tuesday... should be a good game..
