Central stankin it up no doubt Nederland on the other hand need to get by somebody in the playoff's before the triangle consider them a contender for the title here in Ausitin it's all about Lake Travis daz it
They have to get by a lot of people to reach the title game (in Dallas, not Austin) just like everyone. What's your point?
 2.
What is wrong with Central this year?
I think it's more of what Ned is doing to their opponents. Nederland has shut everyone down. Livingston averaged 44points per game before last week when Ned held them to 14 pts, and every team Ned has played has scored way below their season average. ...and Central did lose their starting QB a couple of weeks ago.
 3. Disappointed that this game was not closer. It was 50/50 on the prediction poll.  ???
 4. I figured we win, but not like this. Looks likes long night for the Central kids. Ok ow how that feels...  :-\
 5. Can't beat Nederland by only running the ball. Without an air attack, Central will continue to struggle. Still have yet to cross mid filed.
 6. Sack! Jordan Wood-at Central 27. 4th down. Nederland starts at own 46. End of 1st Ned 13 Central 0
 7. TD Nederland! 20 yd pass and run over people from Raines to Desean Washington Ned 13 Central 0
 8. Nederland's Offense starting stronger than usual. Driving inside the 15, near the 10 yd line on a 17 yd pass to Kimler.
 9. Fake punt from Central. The Dawgs sniffs it out for a 7 yard loss.
 10. Where's the offense? This game may be won on special teams and field position.

I always liked Central and East Chambers uniforms. When Nederland had black helmets in the late 80's our 'All Black' look was impressive. Not so much with the helmets now though.
Really...Ive always liked the gold helmets with the N, but thats all Ive ever really known.
I'm old school, and I played in the 'All Black' look, so My opinion may be a bit biased.

 13.
Is there any chance you can post the district play stats?
That would be a better measuring stick, IMO-especially after tonight's games.
 14.
Kip McFarland no doubt... Broke my finger catching one of his balls..  >:(
Did U catch it?
 15. Good post. Looks like this topic has increased interest over the last couple of days, and I see some trash talking going on! Good stuff!  ;D

Would just like to hear more about these two teams.  :)
Well, Anahuac is 5-1 and is runaway #1 ranked small school team here on SETXSports. I think they got 8 of the 10 number 1 votes. Their only loss was to Houston Kinkade, a large, athletically stacked private school. Anahuac is coming off of an impressive win vs. Buna. Anahuac is well coached and loaded with speed. This is a huge challenge for EC. The Bucs will need to avoid turnovers (gave away 14 points to Newton two weeks ago), and play defense with high intensity from beginning to end. Last two years have been nail biters with both games going down to the wire.  Hope that helps, EZDawg. Thanks for having some interest in 2A ball. Perhaps some Anahuac posters can now add their thoughts...

Oh, I agree. Not all of the people I listed are great passers, per se, but they could all throw it DEEP!
 17.
No doubt McFarland had a rifle.  I hated running routes for him!
I never liked catching his passes either.
