I'm sure we all appreciate expo's enthusiasm and suppport for the Cardinals, but let's give credit to all the teams left playing at this time. Anyone still standing right now has to be good in order to be here. Most of us believe that 21-3A can compare favorably with any district in the state. I also believe that BC is capable of beating Carthage. You can't disregard the fact that they are unbeaten SO FAR, but don't assume that they can't be defeated just because they haven't been YET. Carthage has only played 2 playoff games. BC has played 7 and have proven they can hang tough when things don't go perfectly. Cathage obviously can hit, but their previous playoff opponents committed a lot of errors. If BC fields well, makes no errors and continues to hit the way they have recently, they can beat Carthage twice to advance. It won't be easy by any means, but it is not impossible. There will be some great baseball played this weekend.

The problem is, a lot of seniors have been told to "wait their turn, there are seniors ahead of you". In the past few years, seniors have tended to play over underclassmen who are equally capable. This year those incoming seniors were expecting to play and are of course disappointed. It's the same old debate, do you play underclassmen and get them better or do you play seniors of the same skill level. There have been players who were pulled up from JV for the playoffs getting playing time over seniors and I have heard comments about this also. If the underclassmen perform, that will quiet everyone down, don't worry ;D. Go Cardinals!

No problem. Some people seem to get confused on what is really bashing and what is simply expressing a different opinion of things or people.

That was not the play at home I was talking about. The play in the picture is of the final run that won the game in extra innings. I was talking about a run earlier that the kid did not slide. It happened at the plate in about the 4th or 5th inning. The play in the picture was never in question. Regardless, BC lost and will regroup to take the next two.

He didn't

Actually, this man DOES have a clue if he is who I think he is. He has forgotten more about baseball than most of us will ever know. VERY knowledgeable and STRATEGIC. Could have easily been a higher level coach had he chosen to be. Basically, he loves the game, studies the game, and always seems to be AT the game. ;D

Needville had VERY good fundamental ball. Their coach put together an excellent game plan and his players executed it perfectly. They hardly ever rared back and really swung their bats. They played small, contact ball knowing Stringer had struck out so many batters in his two previous playoff games. Just put the ball in play and advance the runners. That's really frustrating and hard to throw strikes against and I was surprised Stringer still managed to strike out 7 batters. He never really seemed to find the umpire's strike zone. The defense has to play perfectly in small ball situation and unfortunately BC blinked a time or two and that made the difference. I hope BC gets their bats going again because I couldn't believe how many times they sat and watched that WAY outside pitch go by, knowing it was going to be called a strike. The ump was consistant in calling that for Needville's pitcher. BC just didn't seem to have a spark, but they'll get it together for the next 2 games. By the way, have the rules changed recently? In high school ball, the runner from 3rd MUST SLIDE when the catcher is making a play at the plate. Needville's runner came in straight up and ran into Casey (who was clearly making a play) on one of those runs they scored. According to the rule book, that should have been an automatic out and no run awarded. That one play would have given BC the win 3-2. All in all, not a really bad game for BC, just not a good one either. They are more than capable of coming back and winning the next two. Go Cards!

BC was also the visiting team in the Splendora game. I think BC will win this series in 2 games.

Going north on Hwy 69 (from BC) take Spurlock Rd exit (should be first one after airport) and go right on Spurlock Rd. A little way down on the right.

BC gets it together and wins this one by 3.

The reason most people start pointing out mistakes is because it is very frustrating to read posts that have so many words spelled wrong and sentences that are a paragraph long because there was no punctuation used. When there are so many mistakes, it is hard to understand what the poster is trying to say.

Unfortunately, you didn't fix your inability to type a sentence correctly. Capital letters belong at the beginning of a sentence, (i) is just a letter unless it is capitalized, and there are little things called commas and periods. ;D
