brandon is a very good player and deserves this honor.. the record this season is proof of that... he may or may not compete against those bigger schools as some of you say but you let me know if they have lead their teams to a record this year like letsinger has.. if I were to vote on one player I couldnt do as there is alot of talent in southeast texas, but when it comes to West Hardin then I am partical my kids went to school there from 3rd grade until graduation and never once did anyone give them the attention they deserved not even the media, so now they are in the spotlight and you jealous people out there just cant handle it because now your not in that #1 spot...... Let it alone... Let them have their Glory they deserve it..... This is a good bunch of kids they dont get messed up in drugs or stuff like that they play good together and have worked very hard as a team to get to where they are that is a result of hard work and great coach and great team work... so as far as player of the year my vote goes out to the whole West Hardin Team as they are players of the year in my book..... great job guys... take this one game at a time ... the the title is yours dont listen to all the foolishness on here they are just jealous of what you got because they want it.... GO OILERS

Fuller gets my vote........1A or not you dont see him hollering at his kids or getting mad like you see most coaches out there ... that just shows this man has class.. He gets my vote any day I have seen what he does with those boys and how he treats them... he is a good example of how a young man should be...

Just wanted to make a small correction to you post they lost by 1 pt in triple overtime. it was as awesome then as it is now watching them play together... Go Oilers

Oh yeah I agree it could have been alot worse if our top players would have played the last 4 or 5 minutes.... but we have a nice coach.....I would have let them run it up after all the trash talk they were doing..... but like i said we have a great coach... not to mention great players also....

Just so you know the Boys Basketball Conference 1A Division 1 Bracket says Elkhart-Slocum.....oh yeah and by the way who beat who in the ground... Oilers beat SLOCUM all the way down...... GOOD JOB OILERS.... WAY TO GO...

Letsinger

This is my opinion, (opinion only), I see yall saying Letsinger couldnt hang with players like Donahoe, but in my opinion Letsinger could hang because I really didnt think Donahoe was any better with the ball than letsinger, so my vote would go for Letsinger. and yes I have seen donahoe play.

I will have to agree Oilers you didnt look so hot out there, but I know they did wear you down, remember this was just a warm up game and nothing more, I think you hung good with them but that last quarter just got you.. We are still so proud of you guys..... Take this next step one game at a time. Get out there and Play your game.... The game you know you can play... not like last nights game... And a comment on the boo-ing when I heard that I was ashamed until I looked around and seen it was coming from another schools kids... or the most of it anyway... its not like our fans to boo any players, didnt think we had stooped so low.... WOS you guys played good.. good luck in the playoffs both teams you both deserve the state title.... now go get it... ;D

I am a players mom but I am not the 'TEAM MOM' I do however support my team no matter win or lose, and through the years I have seen many schools trash our team no matter how good or how bad they have done, I am just saying its time that people give WH credit where credit is due... These guys have played together since Pee- Wee and have stuck together through the good and bad, we dont have 2 or 3 hundred kids to chose from to play each sport these kids are all like family to each other. I support my team, yes I said my team because at WH we are all like family, From the school administration down to the littlest of kids, everyone supports everyone...... and when they have it going good just give them their credit they deserve and quit smack talking.....

Good Luck tonight Oilers.....Play your game like you did against BS and you can take this 3A school...No Matter what you still are #1 to your fans and thats all that matters... I will say this WEST HARDIN HAS CLASS from top to bottom, and if you knew each player personally you would say the same. So What they cant beat the great HJ big deal, thats why WH is 1A. And to say they havent played any good teams, well you each have your opinion, and they have played some a few good teams. Like I said before people just cant let WH have their glory... and looks like to me people are just JEALOUS because for once WH is getting their TV spotlight and t hey aint.... so nough said..

You know there is never a day goes by that its not someone out there gotta try to say something to make WH look bad... My guess is JEALOUSY because WH looks so dang good.. maybe even putting some to shame.... Give credit where credit is due our guys played hard to get where they are at, they are good together as a team and they show great sportsmanship... more than some of the players on other teams. These guys has earned the spotlight... give them their glory for once without all the smack...Not to mention the outstanding Coach Fuller he is a top notch coach best I have seen my boys have at WH in a long time. He is good leadership for our kids and shows respect to each one. Together Coach and player show sportsmanship like non other... Way to Go Oilers..Keep Playing Hard and with Heart.....You got it all the way...

Gotta be WH and BS but have to wait and chose which one after the 3rd round.. although the WH and HD game was good at HD...

How about Brandon Letsinger from WH, I never see that kid with an attitude or without a smile.. Besides that he is an awesome player and has done his team well this year...

I think it will be HD then WH because WH is losing some good talent, and I dont see them replacing the Letsinger/Simmons punch that they had. Although they do have players that run a close race, I still have to say with the experience HD will be first.

Oilers you did awesome before against BS and you can do it again, if everyone stays healthy and plays hard no matter where your at you can win this......
