1.
Now that I am free to kick back and give a good, unbiased 411 on the LCM Bears, this is how I see, this is a long one, so here goes... The LCM bears mindset of 2010 was totally different than the 2009 mindset.  The 2010 bears were going in expecting to compete for a district title (starting after 7 on 7 success and peaking after the dismantling of Lumberton).  Emotionally, they totally peaked too early in the season - this is evident in how they finished the season.  The first three games - Lumberton, Ozen, and Central, you saw a totally different mindset than you did the last 4 games, particularly on defense.   They totally had their head up their --- against Vidor, gave a weak showing against a admittedly hot PNG team, played shamefully defensively against Livingston, and totally did not show up at Nederland.  Don't forget, this was a team that going into the Nederland game thought they were going to be a second seed (thinking Central would beat PNG and they would beat Nederland - either or, a host of things would have to go against them to not make the playoffs).  And they were getting their butts kissed after the sorry, fortunate Livingston victory.  Nederland, on the other hand, had to go in and win as underdogs on senior night to make the playoffs.  LCM put up such a sorry, half--- performance that I left midway through the fourth.  And not to make excuses, but the Bears did lose 7 starters in between the Lumberton and Nederland games, not including Gonzales's injured performance. Now fast-forward to this year's team: although they return about 10-11 starters (not including guys who stepped in for injured players), they are widely considered an afterthought.  But these are not boys formed in the Moody era.  These will-be sophomores have already won 13 frosh and jv games, almost as many as this years graduating seniors had in all four years of high school. Thus, they are part of a winning program, and are expecting to win, unlike this year's seniors were.  And the coaches now have a winning base to build around.  The workout room ethic last year was nowhere close to this year's, and the running program is above anything I have seen in high school (not that I'm too experienced with high school offseason training/conditioning).  And perhaps most importantly, the coaches don't have to put up with lazy kids and whiny kids, because kids want to be a part of this program.  Its not just a disciplined nucleus of kids this year, its everybody.  The only weaknesses this team has is that they will be hard-pressed to find corners to replace this year's guys, and finding a replacement for Gonzales will be difficult.  Sonnier, although a phenomenal receiver, will not be as missed because of LCM's incredible depth at the receiver position.
Me, like a lot of people, are expecting a lot from the harmon kid. Im going to go ahead and say this he will be the best reciever in district next year. Kid has d-1 potentail along with reed.
2.
ut guy, threw #1 in relief in 4th, lcm up 9-6 no outs noone on, fults is probably #2...
From the pitchg ive seen its knda toss up bewteen carline swan and smith for #1
3. Seems the bears played great. I guess lcm is saving there number 1 and 2 for friday.
4. Who do you think has the pitching staff? I know png has stone after that who is it? Lcm has Swan who i saw pitch and as a sophmore very impressive. hitting upper 80s Carline is also impressive along with the smith kid. Not really sure what nederland has.
5. Who do you see making the play offs and what order? Once again i see the big three battling for first. The big three being lcm, nederland and png. Fourth spot is gonna be tough to choose between vidor and lumberton. My prediction is Lcm-just outright smashing the ball right now Png nederland lumberton.
6. I heard that got a couple of sophmores and a junior than can bring the heat pretty decent.
7. Good post bear. Harmon made some of the best catches i have ever seen last year. I think he will make everyone forgot about sonnier next year. Im hearing through the grapevine lcm has a qauterback coming up that has better running ability than gonzo and a lil better arm. Just hard to beat gonzos toughness.
8. If the gsp vs silva fight does happen we will have to wait a year for it. It will take gsp awhile to put that much pure muscle on to handle silva. Thats why they should meet in the middle at a catch wieght.
9. All of the fights have been entertaining thus far. i hope the main event doestn dissapoint.
10.
so far so good.  Seems not to have many complaints.  (well except for PNG fans and thats expected)  ;D ;D ;) and a buc fan but I aint quit figured out what he is unhappy about??  have you GRAD?
Well no png fan is complaining cause they put jayce first team over sonnier just so they wouldnt complain. lol  ;D
11. When does the all setx team come out?
12. I saw shea richards if thats the kid your talking about for the lcm qauterback next year. he has good size to.
13.
how does it look for LC-M and BRIDGE CITY
Its gonna be tough for lcm losing all the senoirs. Losing Sonnier and Gonzo, hard to replace those two, but harmon who had the best hands on the team returns. The qauterback sitution is a lil different. I know the back up for hunter wasnt to bad ive seen him throw a few passes and he has a better arm the gonzo just dont know about his running ability. The returning back will be sezar #21 and he is fast. We get numbe #50 hayden reed who is just a big kid and really strong along with most of the rest of the o-line back. On defense i dont know who is coming back but i went to a few jv and freshman games and both teams looked pretty good. Maybe we can recruit a few wos players since its now open enrollment.  ;D
14. Eventually lcm and wos are going to combine...i see it happening within the next 10 years. I dont know what wos's numbers are but i know lcms are pretty low so they still might stay at 4a. Man can you imagine that team...west orange competes and beats most 4a schools they play and combine that with lcm. But it would hurt acadimacally. People are already taking the white flight to lumberton, bridge city, orangefield etc.
15. These picks have no meaning. With that said i know some of these picks are a lil goofy but i agree with most of them. Im sure it was real close with doty and gonzo for mvp. But in district gonzo had better numbers and was the most important player on lcm. I know nelson should have been first team but its done and over with now.
16. MVP: Hunter Gonzales, 6’, 185 lb, Sr., Little Cypress-Mauriceville Look i got somethig right that i called at the first of the year.
17. The way i see it is faircloth hasnt been in southeast texas long enough. While he is a great coach stump, nuemon and the rest on the list have been here for awhile.
18. -Anderson Silva (27-4; #1 Middleweight)* vs. Vitor Belfort (19-8)†-Forrest Griffin (17-6; #5 Light Heavyweight)* vs. Rich Franklin (28-5) -Ryan Bader (12-0; #6 Light Heavyweight) vs. Jon Jones (11-1; #7 Light Heavyweight) -Jon Fitch (23-3; #2 Welterweight)* vs. Jake Ellenberger (22-5) That is going to be a very good card. Each one has the potential to be fight of they night. I think the Ryan bader vs. Jon Jones fight is gonna be fight of the night.
19. I know 124 is coming soon but 125 is gonna be a great card. Edgar vs. Maynard. Edgars only loss was to maynard so he is looking to avenge his loss Aldo vs. Gilspi. Aldo is a great fighter and fun to watch. Guida vs. Gomi Never a dull moment with guida in the cage. Diaz vs. kim. Diaz is also fun to watch. Leben vs. Stann What can you say about leben other than he likes to bang.
20. There are plenty of places to have the fights. Reliant, george r brown center, toyota center. Heck even The ford arena.
21.
Nah,  I had rampage winning rounds 1 and 2, he was the aggressor in both rounds, only lopsided round was 3rd round, the first 2 rounds were close but rampage won because he was the aggressor in the fight just plain and simple, I thought it was a very close fight but the decison wasn't a bad decison like some of these fights, UTGUY you act like Machida won the fight handily, what did machida do in the 1st and 2nd round to make you think he won that fight? Please don't say those 4 rinky dink leg kicks, Rampage was by far the aggressor,Rampage won based on the fact that he came to fight and was engaging the whole time where as Machida just waited to counter and was only successful in the third round when he finally threw an offensive attack.  Fights are scored per round and when you do nothing for the first two rounds and win the third, you lose the fight.  Enough with the Machida shoulda won bs, I say we will see Rampage fight Machida for a rematch or the winner out of Griffin vs Franklin or Bader vs Jones..
Sorry didnt watch the fight that was my brother posting. From what he told me the main even was pretty lousy. But i wouldnt know cause i didnt see it
22. Wow im pretty sure machida won that fight.
23. I think this is going to be an action packed card, or atleast three of the fights will be. Machida v. Rampage Both guys have great striking. Rampage has that ability to just clip you and your asleep. Machida is one of the hardest guys to hit in the ufc. But if rampage can get inside i pick rampage with a knock out. Penn v. Hughes 3 The first 2 fights were great and i dont see the third being any different. Penn has some of the best boxing in mma. Im not going to pick the winner but if either fighter wins its penn by tko or hughes rear naked choke. Lauzon v. Stirlopous. This is the fight im really looking forward to. Two great guys in the division looking to move up in the rankings for a title shot. Ive seen a lot of fights from Lauzon and he is one of my favorite fighters to watch. Always getting better with each fight. I dont know a lot about Stirlopous so i cant say much about him other than he has heavy hands. Lauzon wins via submission.
24.

cant believe LCM didnt make it  :o
What were the tie-breaker rules?  How did Livingston get in ahead of LCM since LCM beat Livingston head-to-head?
Because it was a 3way tie between lcm nederland and livingston.
