I hate to be a participant in the hi-jacking of a thread, but I have some questions. What is it that kids and parents could be missing that leads them to term a scholarship as a "Full Ride"? Baseball scholarships are year to year, and the fees that may be covered in part or whole would be: Tuition, books, all misc fees, meals, & housing. Did I miss something? Is there something else that would need to be covered. I know that if a kid is close to home, he may choose to not live on campus, therefore there would be no housing allowance, but, possibly a stipend to equate to that amount. An expert I am NOT, somebody please clarify.

[/quote] Every school around has stories about what one has to do for little Johnny to make the team, but I assure you, successful programs do NOT have rosters that are filled kids that have "mowed someone's grass", etc... The "Shining Stars of the district" got there by working their butts off! These coaches field a team to win (In a nut shell......their jobs depend on it), if they continuously have losing seasons, they will get replaced. I would hate to have the job of filling out a lineup at some of our local schools, that would be tough! A team of ball players that make the team in the manner in which you speak would not be able to compete, much less win.

LCM has one. If one were to put em' to the test, it would take at least two fungo savy coaches to keep up with it.

Losing a game early on won't break your season, but losing your first two district games does put you in a hole. I assure you there have been some "talks" in the field house and neither team will be "okay" at 0-2 to start district. Some people on your side of the river will not be very happy this weekend.
