I just think CC Cal was frustarted with the way the game was going and by the fact they knew they would lose to La Marque...again. It was certainly worthy of a flag but he wasn't trying to show anyone up so much as be excited about scoring another TD.

Not so much personal conduct as much as silly penalties like offsides (over and over), false start, and excessive celebration. [Hidden Content] Had they lost or had the game been closer, I would have mentioned it in my lead. I don't know much about Aledo but if they are disciplined and can match up with La Marque's athleticism to a degree than some of the Coogs issues that became footnotes today may scream off the page next week. It should be excited next week in Arlington.

I don't mean to act like I'm spamming but no one will ever see my work if I don't post it everywhere. ;) I spoke to some of the former players at Calallen who played there when they kept losing to La Marque. La Marque is just playing at an amazing level. Last week, they were down 22-7 in the second quarter and I was beginning to believe that they were in trouble. But Tim Wright lit a spark in the team with his running, the defense just took over the line of scrimmage and made it a nightmare for Manvel's QB's. It was a sight to see and the way they responded to the adversity has me believing that no one will stop them on the way to a title. A game preview is in my twitter link below

Preview in my twitter link below. This game will come down to which Friendswood team shows up. Although they've been able to get away with it except for one game (Santa Fe), Friendswood is kind of up and down. They nearly lost to Foster in the first round, blew a 17 point lead against a Texas City team that was in a tailspin to end the year before scoing late to hold on. Beating Wheatley 50-6 in round 2 didn't tell much because Wheatley and most of the rest of the HISD schools are the equivilent of small 3A schools as far as the amount of boys that can realistically go out for football (and Friendswood is a small 5A school in disguise in some ways). Then they blew out Humble and Montgomery to head to state. I think Johnathan Johnson is key. If Friendswood can establish the run to set up their passing attack they will at least be able to stand a better shot going toe to toe with Travis. I think it'll be something like 38-35/35-31 depending on who has the ball last.

My preview, [Hidden Content] As I said elsewhere, I feel Friendswood is more talented and if they come to play then they'll come out on top. I'm thinkin Dobbins will keep Montgomery close but ultimately it will be 41-31 F'Wood. And if Friendswood plays as they did from about mid-October till a couple weeks ago then it'll be 38-27 Montgomery.

Here's my preview. Personally, I take Friendswood. One of the coahes mentioned to me the Montgomery's d-line was undersized and I think Friendswood will take advantage. Granted that line didnt make much of a difference against Dawson but F'Wood is even better than Dawson.
