  1. We did not get to play a bracket game. Too much rain.
  2. We are getting alot of rain up here and it is causing everything to be rescheduled.
  3. No apology needed Hillguy. I was not responding to your post .Itz good to here Jaiden is doing a really good job. We wish her and her team all the best. Is her team Texas Eclipse Red 16U? We played them back at the Stars Over Texas.
  4. ??? The tournament to be in for 16U is the one where your getting D1 coaches coming and watching. Start your own update for the Independence Tournament.
  5. Just wanted to update. Hit Away 16U took the number one seed in our pool going 3-1 with wins against Utah Xtreme (4-1), Oregon Blaze 93' (4-2), and Oklahoma Ultimate Gold (3-0). Our loss was to the Southern Cal Pumas (1-3). Had them 6-3 late in the game but had some college coaches show wanting to see some girls play and had to change up our game plan. Ended up losing 7-6. Our first bracket game is Saturday morning 9:15 with our number 1 seed bye. One of many highlights was Jo Evans from A.M. came to one of our games, sat on our side, and stayed for the entire game. We are getting solid pitching from Molly (Ozen), Racheal (Buffalo) , and Grace (Houston). Also, we had big hits in last nights win from Bekah Flores and Kaitlyn Werner that would no doubt been H.R.'s if we had not been playing on the only 250' field. The other girls from our area; Lindsey Stevenson, Caitlyn Dykes, and Mendy Laday are all playing great softball. Great job Hit Away, we are proud of you girls.
  6. Excellant job Crush. Sounds like Hanks and Moore took control on the mound with solid support on the field and at the plate. Oh! yeah.. The coach is a pretty good guy too. Great win Crush.......keep it rollin.
  7. Did the intermidate raffting yesterday. It was a blast. Afterwards we went into Idaho Springs and ate at Beaux Jo's pizza. Excellant food. Yesterday we had Ralf Weekly (Tennesse), LSU, and number of smaller universities staying most of the game watching our girls and asking about them. IT PAYS OFF TO GO TO THEIR CAMPS AND TO CONTACT THESE COLLEGES.
  8. Just wanted to brag on Kaitlyn Werner (My DD), she hit her first home run verses Colorado Thunder. Three run shot on a rope over a 200' fence. Hit Away had 3 practice games today. We had wins against Colorado Thunder 5-3 and Colorada Quick Silver 10-7. Had a lose against a very very impressive California Legacy 11-6. Just made too many mistakes. Either way the highs are in the low 80's and the lows are in the upper 50's.........very nice. ;D ;D ;D
  9. Lost the 8:00am game to High Voltage 5-3........... Beat Lady Stros 5-4.....and lost to High Voltage in the championship game 1-0. Never really got the bats going this weekend. However we did get our birth to nationals in South Dakota. Headed to the Fireworks in Denver Co. next weekend.
  10. Correction.....Hit Away 16U will play High Voltage for the winners bracket.
  11. Hit Away 16U won both games today beating the Cyclons 7-3 and Velocity 2-1. We most likely will play the Lady Stros at 8:00 in the morning. Some of the other teams here are The Storm, Houston Power, High Voltage, and Katy Force.
  12. The way you guys have been playing you should win it. Thanks S.R. for the confidence. Interesting we play the Clyclones 1st....the last time we faced them we went into two I.T.B.'s in Sugarland in the championship game. Bekah Flores hit a walk home run for the win. Every weekend gives you a clean slate. You must prove yourself all over again.
  13. Hit Away 16U will be in Houston at the ASA 16U championships. Just wandering where everyone else will be this weekend.
  14. It was definiately HOT. I, JMHO, think that Texas Magic had the best team there. Now don't jump hard P88, I did not see y'all play but saw Texas Magic 3 times and all times were very impressive performances. They beat Pariots and OCG very handily. It was a good tournament and yes, there more than a handful of college coaches. Even a few college players. Good to see M Verde and Dad on hand Even one college coach coaching a team. The LA Blast. They were not bad either. lol not jumping at all Papa. We are a young team and still have alot to work on. Someone told me the Tx. Ice looked very good.
  15. Thanks for a well run round robin. It was good to see everyone. The girls of Hit Away 16U had a really good weekend. We went 5 - 0 beating Cy Fair Batz Gold (4-2), Cajun Express 18U (7-4), RGV Thunder 18U (6-2), Eclipse Red 16U (6-3), and Orange Crush Gold (Jaynes) 5-1.
  16. Well.....let's hear it. How did all the local teams do ?
  17. Bekah Flores went yard for two at The Stars Over Texas tournament against Eclipse Red 16U to tie up the ball game.
  18. Not suprised. His name is R. Roth and he is a good friend of mine. He is the most accomplished offiical in the Houston area. He has worked multiple NCAA Super Regionals, multiple NPF World Series, and countless National Tournaments. The fact that a pitcher's dad didn't like his zone sounds about right. You say our zones are "tight", we prefer the term "precise". 8) He and Johnny T. go back a long way. Right JT? ;D I am retired from that club BHBLUE. And by the way you say "precise'' There is nothing more subjective in all of sports as the Umpires Strike Zone. There are as many different strike zones as there are umpires. ;D 8) ;D
  19. This tournament in years past has always had allot of College Coaches attend. Matter of fact we've had several girls get signed because of this tournament the past few years. Hit Away, out of Houston, puts this one on their agenda each year to get their girls the exposer. Its a good tournament to attend. Even with BHBLUE on your field. ;D Well at least we got to see some things I've never seen before with him on our field. ;) ;D I know you guys will never believe this........but.......I found an umpire this weekend in Conroe with an even tighter strike zone than BHBlue. I could not believe it. It was our championship game and I was looking around for BHBlue fiquering he had a hand in on this some how.

  21. We are again in the Fireworks tournament. And yes, the Hit Away organization has field #5 at Collins Park.
  22. We are split into three groups, since we are so far apart, Huntsville, Beaumont & Houston. Yes, we also have girls from Centerville and Buffalo. Our home feild is at Collins Park in Spring.
  23. Our Hit Away (16U) team went 6 - 0 through the championship game beating SK Impact (16U) 4-1 to take the tournament. The girls from our area that represented were Bekah Flores (Lumberton), Caitlyn Dykes (PNG), Kaitlyn Werner (Vidor) , Lindsey Stephens (Hampshire Fannet), Molly Randle (Ozen), Mendy Laday (Ozen). We played Smackdown (18U) and The Misfits (16U) in pool play. Also in bracket play we played SK Impact (16U), No Mercy (16U), Team USA (18U), and SK Impact (16U) again for the championship. Again we are really proud of you girls. See everyone at Ford Park next weekend.
