Just been luck enough to see both teams play in person, .. The Dogs are just well balance on both sides of the ball. . . .plus they will spread u thin and throw the ball to both of there D1 6'2 rec. . . . .with speed
ummmm athens had a 6'4" d1 receiver with great speed, and he got absolutely nothing against us, so that's not a problem.
Scooter needs to go join the carthrage forums, don't pay that loser any attention at all he's a hater, I mean who was his main team??? It doesn't even matter because it looks like there not in the playoffs but know who is the Coldspring Trojans, and I'm not worried about them running the ball on us it's not going to happen if we stopped Ford from kirbyville this guy shoudnt be nothing to stop!! So they better keep the ball I'm the air but that might not last long because our D stays in QB faces, & as far as our offense goes Kirbyville was the only team that have came close to stopping our run but that only lasted for a half and I thnk that's the toughest D we've went up against this year!!! But no matter how the Bulldgs watch film & try to stop our run they will not be able to contain my nephew Gilbert & my main man Cummings!! So scooter keep on scooting, I wouldn't even get on here with a name like dat!! Are u serious!! Wow!! Why are even listening to this guy his prediction doesn't matter if his team isn't in the playoffs anymore. go to the Basketball thread!!
kirbyville don't have the O-line like THE DOGS DO!!! I have seen both teams play in person

They have athletes everywhere on the field. ..............
I saw Carthage last year, and Coldspring this year. Everything you said about Carthage is true. It is also true of Coldspring and then some. I honestly think Coldspring brings more quickness and speed to the field than Carthage did last year. And they have enough size to hang with Carthage. Coldspring by ten. Good luck to both teams!
LOL. . ,By ten huh C'mon mann. . . . . .Coldspring is about to deal with a team full of 3 yr starters all around. . . With BACK TO BACK Titles

I don't understand how they got beat so bad by chapel hill and NACODOCHES.
. . . . .9 starter didn't play against CH&Nav. . . . . Kinda like when coldspring played K-vill the 1st time and didn't have one of there studs
I have to go with Coldspring in this game. Just by looking at the stats you have to. carthages d allows to many yards per game for Coldsprings running game. Coldspring will win it by 12. and my second point ti this is the adv yrds allowed by Coldsprings D. Coach morrison has done a great job with the D. Cooper is a beast and Sikes is playing better now than I have seen him play all year. WOSGRAD great job on all the work you have done this year on keeping people up dated on the stats. We will see yall at Jerry's world.
I have seen both teams play this yr & by far both are good and well coached. . . . .and like i said before THE DOGS TRACK RECORD SPEAKS FOR ITSELF! ! . . . .p.s i do believe that defense wins championships and on that note the Carthage Bulldogs have the best linebacker in the state.

Just talkin facts Here we have it...another outsider crashes in to the SETX site with a rah-rah about their team during a 3rd round (or deeper) playoff game with one of our "locals". 'Happens every year. This guy will do one of two things...1) if Carthage wins, he will not shut up for a week after the game and probably be unsportsmanlike toward the Coldspring fans or 2) if Coldspring wins, we will never hear from him again.
In 1992 we made it to the state title game behind the emotion of playing for our beloved coach Ed Peveto. We lost to a South Lake Carrol team that probably should have never been in 3A. I was in seventh grade at that time. I dreamed that one day I could help Coldspring bring a title home. In 1996 we made it to the Semi-Finals against Sealy amidst their record run of titles. We lost that day, but we should have won. I was a Junior on that team. Here we are present day. I know deep in my heart this is the Trojans turn to bring a title home to our little spot by the lake north of Houston. I know Carthage is good and deserves all the respect of a two time defending champ. I firmly believe though we will unseat them as champions and place ourselves in the history books as the 2010 class 3A DivisionII State Champions. As for those that thought Brownwood and Carthage this week was the true state title game, I would have to disagree. The true title game will be next Friday between Coldspring and Carthage.
Once your track record will speak for itself.. . . . . And the DOGS WILL TOO!!!!!(UNDERDOGS)
kirbyville is way better. Kville's o-line is bigger and more physical, ford is better rb, and kville's defense is more athletic if not bigger than wimberley's, I mean wimberley's main tackler is their strong side linebacker, and he's about 6'2" 165, but I will say this, he is always in the right spot at the right time. Their O-line has one big guy that's 6'2" about 290, but very sloppy looking with slow feet. Their qb is pretty good at throwing and will run if he has too, at about 195 lbs he's pretty hard to bring down, kinda like menard from bc. You could compare their wide receivers to huffman's with all the screen's they run. There rb is still pretty solid, and he has very good patience waiting for his linemen to make holes on plays like gt and zone reads. All this information is just from watching them play cuero, and I personally think cuero should've won. I definitely think we have a good chance of winning this game, and kville scared me way more than wimberley does right now.
how in the world do u think Kirbyville WAS better

I 2nd that

I keep missing the point about it being a BIG DIFFERENCE from Jr. to Sr, it ain't like we went down a level when we went to Pop Warner. Are any Iof you aware of the fact that all of the teams that we are playing in Pop Warner consist of about 70% 6th graders, and about 30% 7th graders (older/lighter)? Most of the 5th graders qualify as older/lighters on the level below us. That was a huge step for us as well, since some of these kids were already 13 when the season started (cutoff date is July 31st). I'm assuming the point that you are trying to prove is more of a discredit to Pop Warner than it is to the Longhorns. Look RB (RUSTY), I never once said that we are invincible, in fact I pointed out our losses, and mentioned our Dog fights in STJFL. I am also nervous as heck about our game in McAllen this weekend, the same way I was about our game in Austin last weekend. I respect every opponent. I also respect your competitive nature. I'm simply saying that we are not running from anyone, and have absolutely no reason to be scared of anyone in STJFL, but the game has to make sense, and this one doesn't to me. You of all people, already know the reason that we left, but I will not even begin to start on that issue on here. I will say this AGAIN, Congrats on your season. You are the Champs. This whole argument is pointless anyways, because I would never play a meaningless game like this, because we have absolutely nothing to prove. This will be my last post on this topic, so feel free to continue saying that we are running, or we are scared. I am trying to keep my players focused on trynna win a National Championship, and we ask that everyone in the area would keep us in your prayers, and support us as we travel and try to accomplish something that has never been done before, and that's bring the Pop Warner National Championship Trophy back to SETX, because I believe the best football in the world is played right here, and we all deserve a piece of the National recognition. Hook Em.........
Your big long explainations always sounds good and we do wish u well(really do). And yal was a very good Jr team . . Jr i say! ! Everyone knows Sr level brings it. .different level of kids and all. . .and point blank u left to your advantage (that's a good coach) all the respect in the world for what u did in THE BIG JR LEVEL
Again we should not reply to anything from STJFL or Lonestar. We have proven ourselves to both of them and we have a missin that doesn't involve either of them. Simply congratulate both on the Championships that they won. Both Champions should be proud of what they have acomplished this year. Congrats to all Superbowl Champs in STJFL and Lonestar.
you are right u did prove urself on the kiddie level (jr) not Sr!!! Big Difference buddy
