Hello TVC I have hunted in the Del Rio area many times. I would think the two places are close the way the terrain is. The deer do come to the corn even the big ones. If they are a bowhunting only ranch. they probably already feed near a bow stand. you should get plenty action. But your buddy should know how the deer act there better than most if he hunts there often. As I think I remember you saying in a earlier post. Just be patient. If there are 130 to 140 class bucks there and the ranch hands say there are still some in the area where you are hunting and they should know. dont shoot a 120 to early you may be dissapointed. the big ones will come out. I feel the same way! Get a copy of Texas Trophy Hunters. Its full of them. Look up there internet address. And see which one fits what it is your wanting to hunt for. And your budget. I do it sometimes. But search thoroughly first, for the best prices and accommodations. The most expensive isnt always the best.

This is a whitetail my 12 year old son killed while hunting this weekend along with his Elk. Although not as impressive as the Elk. Its still worthy of posting. killed it drop shot with 22-250

Yes he was so excited! This was the first time for him to shoot blackpowder. I was videoing while he shot. The elk went down when he shot. We waited about five minutes then we started walking towards the bull. And it got up. We all took off running for the high country but he fell right back down it was scary. But we all was laughing after it was all over. It was a hunt he will never forget.

FROM LOOKING AT THE PIC I SCORE IT AT AROUND 162 AND THATS JUST FROM THE POINTS I SEE. ITS HARD TO JUDGE FROM A PIC BUT I BET IM CLOSE. I GUESS THE 11TH POINT IS PROBABLY A KICKER
