Looks like the voters (and I am not one) knew what they were doing.
True Kountze has 2 wins over EC.  but with the Lions losing 2 in a row in district play most likely helped EC jump them in the rankings.
I know Hank Jones is a great player!  Taking nothing away from him, but, do you guys really believe he is a D1 talent?? Congrats to anyone getting to continue their playing career.  Whether it be D1 or D3, you are getting an opportunity most other players don't!  Do not waste it!  Trust me, you will regret it if you do.
It is not for us to decide whether or not he is D1 talent.  Scouts and coaches do. So apparently they believe he is D1 talent.

I was looking at the playoff brackets for the 2A classification.  I noticed Idalou was almost impossible to score on.  In 5 playoff games including the championship game, Idalou outscored their opponents 123-15.  Impressive to say the least.

Hank Jones from EC is getting recruited by a few D1 schools

EC giving them hell.

keep the updates coming, unable to listen to it on the link that was provided. go Bucs

What kind of team does crockett have.  anahuac is a good team to be outplayed like this

Let's Go AP.

I am thinking more along the lines of what the Oregon ducks do.

Sounds like a bunch of you had to high of expectations for the team this year.  Success isnt going to happen overnight.

Surely all the schools in the area can donate enough equipment (i.e., pads, footballs, shoes, and maybe some helmets) especially for a 6 man football team.

How is it that Anahuac has already clinched, but EC hasnt.

I bet whoever scores more points wins the game. Just sayin

keep pouring it on AP

EC doesnt need this win. they will win district regardless.  I would still like to see them win.

Lets go Anahuac.

congrats panthers

EC has proved alot of people wrong.  If they are gonna go deep into the playoffs they are gonna have to open up their offense with a passing attack. They run the ball very well but it can only get you so far.  I know Hank has an arm, just dont know what kind of recievers he has.

East Chambers should claim the #1 spot after their win over Anahuac.
KOUNTZE in a squeaker...14/6...nawww  jk...EC will roll in this one...
LOL

i figured this would be a good game. just not this good.  Cmon Bucs.

Kudos to Hardins QB. That was one heck of a game.

Glen Roberts from EC has to be mentioned in this conversation.  I mean the kid is about 5'7 and weighs bout 150 lbs soaking wet and has bout 600 yds rushing averaging about 7 or 8 yds a carry.

My picks are Eddins-Kelly Jones-EC (my homer pick) Taylor-Hardin Reyes-West Brook
Where is Jones thinking about playing football? Any offers for him yet?
I read somewhere that he is getting letters from Baylor, Rice, UTEP and a couple of other schools.
