Also another local player from Beaumont Westbrook Shane Selman made the All Tournament team in Georgia. He played with the Houston Banditos. Congrats to all the young men as competition in East Cobb is always top notch!!!

Errors again late in the game really cost West Brook. Soper pitched a heck of a game then Brook started throwing it around that allowed Deer Park at least 2 runs. This has happened to West Brook so much this year on the road and at home. So I ask is this a Coaching staff that did not address the situation or a team that just could not find a way to cut down on the errors. I would hope that the coaches dedicated lots of extra practice time just for situations with runners on base. When to throw and situations when it is best to just hold on to the ball. These players all seem to be really good athlete's so I am sure they are fast learners.

I was not at the game and do not even know who pitched but I would bet coach left starter in to long once again. And probably had someone warming up but chose not to put him in.

Was West Brook able to hang on in this one?

What is the deal with West Brook? You just have to believe that the talent is there but they cannot seem to put it together. Surely as big as that school is there are many kids that have played very competetive baseball. Are the coaches there during the summer for training and instruction or at least to let players use the facility. Or do any High Schools even have programs for baseball during the summer. I assume they just hope boys will play summer ball on their own and be ready for the season when it starts. If coaches really care about their respective programs seems like there would be much more emphasis put into it during the summer.

Did errors once again play a part in this loss for West Brook?

Heard West Brook lost a tough one 5 to 4 in the last inning. Errors I was told killed them in the end.

West Brook/Channelview game will now be played at West Brook instead of Channelview at 7:00 tonite. 3/22/12 so I have heard.

Just heard West Brook game at 12:30 cancelled. Will try again at 3:00 if the weather holds up.
