  1. Thus... If Vidor White beats WOS by 14 points, they are in.  If Vidor White loses, they are out and Lum Blue is in?
  2. That means... Lum White and Vidor Black have already qualified from Division 1. PNG - Grey and Ned White from Division 2. Lum- Red and WOS From Division 3. These are all locked in based upon division recordsa and tiebreakers.   This leaves 2 wild cards. PNG Purple gets 1 for certain, leaving Lum Blue, Ned Black and Vidor-White as potential for the 8th spot.  Lum blue has a 1 game lead on both teams and the tie breaker on Ned Black.  Vidor White has to beat WOS and Lum has to lose for Vid-White to get the spot.   It's going to be hard for Lum-Blue to not get the 8th spot.  Although with their recent trainwrecks a loss to Orangefield is certainly a possibility.   Of course I might misunderstand the rules, but I beleive this to be accurate. 3. You guys must be looking at different rules than I am.  Here is what they are according to the STJFL website. Junior, & Pee-wee Division There will be a total of 8 teams qualify. 1st & 2nd place in each division will qualify based on division record and will seed 1 through 6. There will be 2 wild card teams selected out of the remaining teams and these will be determined by best overall record. Wild card teams will qualify as the 7th & 8th seed in the playoffs. Divisional Tie-breakers: Best division record Head to head Points Allowed Coin Toss Wild Card Tie-breakers: Best overall record Head to head (if teams played) Points allowed Coin toss Seeding Tie breakers: Best overall record Head to head (if teams played) Points allowed Coin toss
  4. No doubt Ned-White played a heck of a football game last Saturday, but it was a perfect storm for Lumberton Blue.  I don't want to take anything away from White at all.  When looking at the total record and seeing the scores week to week Lum Blue had an anamoly last Saturday.  Should be a decent game with PNG-Grey this Saturday.  That WOS PNG game will be the one to watch.  The mismatch of the week looks like Lum White v. OF. Good luck to all the players and coaches this week. Birddog
  5. I think Man has the rankings correct.  We will find out a ton this weekend though.  As for the "Cheeseburger", might be the best nickname in all of youth sports. Birddog
  6. Dog: They more than let the kids play, they let them get away with just about everything.  It was a hard fought game and could have gone either way.  You guys threw the ball well.  I rewatched the game film after reading your thoughts on "the call" and it is clear the penalty caused your guy to break free.  On most of the other plays any infraction was generally inconsequential to the result of the play.  Glad to see the good sportsmanship from both the kids and the staffs in the game.  No "Pearland" incident. Bam: I think a handle vs. nada is fair.  I could just take my 5th and ride off into the sunset, but giving you a little action in return makes it fun.  Did you settle up with AC yet? Good luck to all the teams this week and hopefully there will be more competant zebras! Birddog
  7. Bam, So if Ned White wins then I owe you nada, but if Lum Blue wins then you owe me a handle? If so, I am in.  Birddog
  8. I think PNG Purple will beat Ned-Black also. And who knows with Vidor Gold?
  9. In the words of WSOP champion Joe Hachem "Pass the Sugar".
  10. If I understand the OT rules properly... Lum Blue 20 Ned Black 19 in 2OT.
  11. Ok Bam I will bite.  It seems the going currency is Crown (one of my favorites). Since you are effectively betting a 2 team parlay, how about if Ned wins both games we bet a handle vs a fifth.  That seems more than fair to me.  I think you have the edge this weekend, but who knows? Good luck to Ned White vs. LC (but I doubt you will need it). Birddog
  12. Personally I plan on having very few sober hours this weekend.  I never get mad, I just like to make some easy coin and I do tend to gamble plenty.  However, drinking and gambling = bad for the bankroll. Lum Blue has some size, but as I recall from you guys playing Vidor Gold, you do as well. Let's hope the kids have some fun and there is no "pearland" incident (did you guys see that video?). Good luck to all the STJFL teams this weekend. Birddog
  13. No beef with you Dog, I think Ned Black has a very good team.  Your defense is fierce and you guys have a RB as good as any kid in the league.  I was simply asked to put my money where my mouth was and I was obliging the request.  That's all.  I see an opportunity to take down an easy pot, I would be a fool to let that chance pass me by.  Shoot, we could lose by 2 TD's and I would still get paid!  Good luck to you guys this weekend. Birddog
  14. AC, Epic fail on calling me out.  I gamble for more on a weekly basis than I'll bet you make in a year.  I will be happy to take your 3 touchdowns and Lum Blue for as much as you are willing to post.  Bring it. Birddog
  15. I smell a humiliation wager here.  Why don't you guys come up with something that punishes the loser.  Such as washing the winners car or wearing the other teams colors for the next weekends games etc... Just a thought, Birddog
  16. Ned Black is supposed to have a stud RB and a stud lineman.  But I like Lum Blue at home.  I am not so sure about PNG Purple and Vidor Black.  Both look good.  That certainly is the matchup of the week.  We will find out a ton about those teams Saturday.
  17. No worries amigo.  Trash talk is what the internet is about!  Good luck to the stangs this year.
  18. Dub, I appologize if calling off the dogs hurt your feelings. I am very aware of the rules as they pertain to substitutions. I guess you are the guru of special teams coaches.  Why did LCM onside kick their only kickoff?  It might be because the kids are 7-8 and don't quite have the leg strength to kick it deep.  4 years of mediocrity must be a soul crushing endeavor.    Sorry, spelling isn’t our strong suit in Lumberton, winning football games is. Keep making fun of the LTrain as we will just keep on counting our W's.  Deal with it.
  19. Wow Dub, can't see why you are upset.  We scored every time our first O was on the field and held LCM to negative yards with our first D.  After the first half there were liberal substitutions trying to get as many kids reps as possible.  That was in the interest of the kids and fairness. As for onside kicking, we don't have a kid who can kick it deep, so we play to our strengths.  It's not trick football, but proper strategy.  Plus most teams in PeeWee onside kick.   I will be happy to wager with you as appropriate.  I just wish you would stop using run on sentances, they hurt my eyes.
  20. Lum Blue 27 LCM 0 Lum called the dogs off after 1st half. Lum White beat Kountze badly also.
