  1. We will be at the softball fields on College St. in Beaumont this Sunday @ 2:00. 409-466-6746 if you have any questions.
  2. There is no doubt it's made it more weak than it was 20 years ago when I was in it...20 yrs..did I just say that..ok I fill old..anyway..Yes it's diluted league play but there's a thing about some form of local community, winning being important but not life altering @ 9,10 etc. and a small piece of simple that seems a little more filling that select just doesn’t allow for... To the question though..NO..absolutely not..For the small minority that think their kid won't make it the the big leagues if he comes in contact with little Johnny who can't throw heat or crush then maybe but I would argue that if anything it is actually enriching the overall enjoyment, growth and appreciation for the game by more of the "masses" It's giving more kids the opportunity to play....I'm mean let's face it..The kid that might be playing right field and sitting 2-3 innings is now playing the whole game and getting a shot to play infield...I know....I know...and your thinking..BUT the level of play is not as high...Let me help you. You’re 100% right but if you’re the kid who's happy to be getting in the game or the kid who's now a ACE stud because the level of competition is lower do you care..NO you don’t. Point is it's enriching the game and they will continue to co-exist and be a great avenue to go down which ever road you choose....
  3. We are looking for two players to complete our roster. Last season we played a very successful Select season with over 65 games. This year we'll switch gears a bit. All of our kids will be playing league ball (Little League, Pony etc.) along with a little more toned down Select (local) schedule. We'll kick it of first of Feb., play 3 tourneys before league starts and couple more throughout league. If your boys a PLAYER and your looking to enjoy his local league but also want to give him a little more opportunity to develop his skills and have fun then give me a call or shoot me an email. Thanks. 409-466-6746 [email protected]
  4. Can someone please explain a local soccer club not keeping score for U10 Boys games and the ref telling the coach after a close game that "It's ok because there is no first place everyone gets a participation award." Is this really true? Please tell me I've been lied to.
  5. Angel27..You should re post in more broken, less confusing slanglike English that us simple folks can understand..
  6. Soccer at Kelly matters and that is nice to see and hear. Heck, Lumberton has made the playoffs practically every year and won multiple district championships since their soccer inception in 1991 yet all they seem to care about is FOOTBALL, FOOTBALL, FOOTBALL...WOW..not Baseball which has accepted complete mediocrity nor Soccer or anything else get the support they should get and need. I don't even think Lumberton will allow Freshman into Soccer athletics or do they have a CLUB team?? I doubt it....Could it be possible that some kids would salivate at the opportunity to go play for a school that was passionate about the same thing they are? I couldn't imagine Kelly having to recruit cause it sounds like they have fish jumping in the boat cause of the protein in the water being both scholastically and athletically. All that being said I understand the frustration of 3A, 4A etc. schools possibly losing kids but the problem is NOT private school coaches recruiting it's more so these schools not making it important cause they are so focused on the American Football GODS...So the next time you hear this garbage coming out of someone please just tell them to stop it..Just my opinion...
  7. Yes'er..that ball bounces funny sometimes and it went our way on Sat. but I saw ya'll play a few games and ya'lls boys are a tough gritty bunch with many Ws to look forward to for sure...Good Luck to Ya!
  8. No kiddin..6am on Sat comes early...Thanks and good luck to you guys. Hopefully we will see ya at 4.
  9. Do you know of any kids from Lumberton area (Pee Wee Boys) coming to play? Curious for car pool possibilities.
