  1. Argh.... Every team I cheer for ends up losing! > Calgary in '04 Edmonton in '06 Ottawa in '07 Dallas....Dallas....Dallas....Dallas....Dallas....
  2. Good move for the Aeros! Daum was the coach of the University of Alberta hockey team, and was great there. Maybe he should stick to coaching college. The U. of A. is one of the top colleges in Canada, with an outstanding hockey team. I've been on their campus before and also seen the hockey rink that the Golden Bears and Pandas(women's team) play on.
  3. I'm all for keeping the Cup in the USA, but I really like the Sens. Plus, Anaheim's assistant coach is Dave Farrish. He was head coach of the Louisiana Ice Gators and Pensacola Ice Pilots, which are/were rivals of the Wildcatters. Oh, here is one more reason to cheer for the Senators: [Hidden Content] [Hidden Content]
  4. I have to agree, it is it difficult for the casual fan to follow on TV. More: [Hidden Content]

  7. Sounds like baseball. Just kidding...I *do* really like baseball, and it's a nice(though much slower) game to watch when hockey season is over. Hey, if you haven't been to a hockey game in person, then you can't complain. Go to a Wildcatters game next season....fun and entertaining, and people of all ages enjoy. Not a bad seat in the arena, and most of the time you can go for cheaper than going to the movies. And don't think that it's a "Yankee" sport. There are more pro hockey teams in Texas than anywhere else! I'm Southeast Texan -- born and raised....same with my parents, grandparents, etc. My family went to the Wildcatters' home opener in 2003 and fell in love with the sport. Look at me now! ;D
  8. Celebrate a Great Season!!! Welcome Home Your 2006-07 Wildcatters!!! Join us at Ford Arena Today 5/5/07 between 4:30 and 5pm to Welcome Home Your Texas Wildcatters!!!
  9. Florida wins with a PP goal in OT. Both teams had a penalty shot and missed just before that. Poor Colin Nicholson is going to be haunted by his missed shot for a long time now. :'( Ah, well. It was a great season, and I'm proud of our 'Catters for all they have done. Is it October yet? :-\
  10. You can pay $6 to watch it on the Internet, or you can go to Rocky's Roadhouse to see it for free.
  11. Wildcatters lose 4-2, and Florida takes the series lead again. :'( Game 6 is Friday in Florida. If our guys really want this, then they can win it! :-\
  12. WOOHOO!! Next home games: Friday, April 27 @ 7:30 Saturday, April 28 @ 7:00 Monday, April 30 @ 7:00
  13. I watched the game, also. Too bad to see the Stars lose in the first round again. And since my #2 team(Pittsburgh) is out of it, I guess I'll have to cheer for San Jose. Though the Canucks beat the Stars, it's not as bad as when Colorado beat them. I HATE the Avalanche. But they didn't even make the playoffs this year. Who I want to win each series now: Buffalo Sabres vs. New York Rangers New Jersey Devils vs. Ottawa Senators Detroit Red Wings vs. San Jose Sharks Anaheim Ducks vs. Vancouver Canucks
  14. Game 3 Wildcatters win 5-4 in OT; I'm still updating that gallery. Game 4 Wildcatters win 2-1 with 29 seconds left in the first OT to advance to the Division Finals. Woodsmaster from our board took this photo of the puck going into the net. It went in so fast that it looks like just a blur: The exposure time was 1/500 of a second!
  15. Dallas isn't really considered Southeast Texas to me. Are you perhaps thinking of the Wildcatters? They are 1-1 in their series.
  16. Wildcatters win a fight-filled game 5-2 over Gwinnett!
  17. Our guys were just not themselves tonight, especially in the 1st period. They came back a little bit in the 2nd to make it 4-2 at one point, but the ref just kept on giving penalties to us. Four of Gwinnett's five goals were scored on the power play. Another thing, is that Matt Yeats was NOT on his game tonight. Danny Taylor should have started in net. Ah, well. If we can win tomorrow, then I have a good feeling about the rest of the series. But if we don't...then....well.... :-X
  18. Paiement has been added to the roster. Phew!
