I know a couple of folks at GC...they run the Pistol! They might not win...but I will say it won't be a blowout! They are tough and will only get better! thanks for the info. I hope it is a tough game. only makes us both better.

Got a chance to see Burkhead score 5 or 6 TD's against a pretty good Temple Defense last week, he's very good. it was 6... Nebraska is recruiting very hard from what I hear.

I know there was talk before the season started about rather it would be Hughes or Duvall (sp?). I think the coaches made a smart decision for lumberton's football future by going with Hughes. He is just a soph. right?

Yeah, I know. Dayton may have played the game of their lives and kept it to 14. actually it was 21, but who's counting. we missed a PAT but got the 2 pt. Conv later we'll never know about WB and Dayton. I do know that friendswood could hang a few on any secondary in this area, 5A or otherwise. No shame in losing to them... especially with 12 dropped balls in the first half. I can't blame the pollsters for bumping dayton to fifth.... but they're still wrong.

how did the neb. fan feel last week??? bad game against a really good team. Bad combination. Broncos took it on the chin. They'll get better and healthier and progress like they always do. I still won't miss a minute. One observation from last night.... the fans that were yelling the loudest and running our kids down(especially Cody) are the ones who left with a quarter to go. Dayton fans, if you're gonna show your butts, at least stay for the whole game. Otherwise stay your tail at home. The kids don't need that type of support. Don't know how he felt last week, wasn't there. I just know how he felt friday night. gotcha

That evaluation in the ESPN writeup is quite old and is based off of his sophomore video and is also inaccurate as far as him playing QB. I am 100% sure that Nebraska recruited him as a quarterback. It's hard to compare him to other elites based on his performance in games, seeing as how he hasn't played much since his sophomore year. But, his numbers from last week don't lie and his performance at big camps doesn't either as they are the reason he has gotten so much attention. Don't let that dual threat label fool you, he is a pass first QB. You don't have to dare him. He'll be throwing plenty. here are some links to where he is listed at a dual threat QB.
