1.
Actually, I was wrong on the alltime record between Silsbee and Kirbyville. Silsbee leads the series 16-2. As for that "scrimmage" last year. Both teams scored 1 td, that's how it finished.
You must have not have watched closely Ford scored on his long run and Cucancic hit Keene on a 35 yard pass for the other one I believe thats 2
 2. Those stats posted were his Junior year he will improve from last year I dont see why he couldnt average at least 8 yards per carry
 3. Thats gonna be a great story when it all comes out i have heard his little brother Burman tell it before. As Burman said "its a miracle of God that got them sent to Kirbyville".
 4. I like how the mustangs play Jasper and Kirbyville that will help us get a better picture on how the Kirbyville Jasper game will turn out. BTW what week do Kirbyville and Jasper play anyone know.
Trust me Silsbee has beat Jasper and Kirbyville before!!!  ::) Jasper and Kirbyville better be glad they did not move south  :o
Silsbee is the lucky one
The all time record between Kirbyville and Silsbee is 11-1, in favor of Silsbee. Kirbyville's only win in the matchup was a 29-28 win 3 years ago. ::)  hhmm I wonder who is the lucky one
No way Silsbee has beaten Kirbyville 11 times!!!!! I sure wish we actually play in a real game next. Kirbyville was by far better than Silsbee in the scrimmage last year!!! Itf it was a game last year we would have put up at least 60.
I dont know if silsbee was just playing bad or what but we sure ran all over them LeFredrick Ford broke for a 70 yard touchdown on the first play of the scrimmage and silsbee only scored once
 6. Utah had a good recruiting season. Texas needs to get these type of guys
 7. Just curious franksnbeans are you from daingerfield????????
 8. your right about that Newton one state back in the 70's with the biggest lineman being 190 pounds but there running back weiged about 230. Ill take speed over size any day.
 9. The only way Vidor will beat Kirbyville is pass the ball about 75% of there offensive plays and they probably are not going to do that so Kirbyville should handle Vidor.
 10.

Jacoby Hale - BMT Central - Utah Derrick Hall - BMT Central - Tulsa
Is Jacoby Hale a wr?
No line backer
 11.
Fred Ford is a great running back. I saw him play several times last season, including all playoff games. I think he will have a great senior season and I would not be surprised to see him go D1 but I do think his numbers will suffer a bit in his senior year. The schedule is a bit tougher and I don't see KV making it all the way to the Championship game. I still see him rushing for close to 2000 yards but on a good deal more carries, which will mean a lower yards per rush average. Still, probably the best back in the area and one of the best in the state.
Fred will be better this year than last year just facing a bit better defenses so he should have similar stats
 12. no joke there smallest starting lineman weighed 280 they were huge and actually with my predicted starting lineman this season none of them come under the 250 mark.
 13. Kirbyville players MLB- Josh Harris-ETBU OLB- Jamichael Ervine- Lon Morris CB- James Fowler- Lon Morris Manager- Cody Kirbow- Lon Morris
 14.
Look...This is truly not about me trying to discredit KV or take away from their ability on the football field. I know they play tough-nosed football. It's truly not about who wins or loses this game. It's not about pride or tradition or anything else for that matter. So, please don't take it that way. I just don't want to see a group of kids put through something just because "things are different up here in the Piney Woods." I know all about Piney Woods football. I lived in Kirbyville myself for a few years and I spent just about every summer up there as a kid. I also played for the Wildcats myself in junior high so I understand the desire to relive the "little engine that could" story. But, this is not Newton and it's not Jasper. It's a team that routinely fields a front line that is capable of doing serious harm to the much smaller front that KV will pit against them. I'll end the Vidor discussion with that. Play the game. Enjoy it. I hope KV pulls off a miracle upset because, as a writer, it would make a great story. On the other hand, it would be terrible to have to write a story about a kid with a great deal of talent who had that talent destroyed because someone, somewhere felt they had something to prove at the expense of that kid. Call me a whiner, over-protective or whatever but, if my son played for the Wildcats, I would definitely question this decision (not just Vidor but the entire schedule) by a "good" coach and probably confront him with it (not in an aggressive manner but simply because, for the sake of the kids, I think the situation is worth discussing). Again, good luck to the KATS. I will be there when the ball leaves the tee and I will be there when the final second ticks off the clock. I hope it's a close, hard-fought game and I hope all goes well for both teams. One last point on the schedule...This is not just about playing Vidor...It's about playing what has to be one of the toughest schedules any team in the state will play this year all for what appears to be nothing more than ego. Coldspring will be a tough game. They beat WO-S last year as you may recall. I give KV 50/50 in that one. They will then play Newton. A tough opponent but I give them the edge there. They then go to Vidor and not only lose but come away bruised and hurting. They then face WO-S in a diminished capacity and lose. They then play Bridge City, a team that they should be able to beat if healthy but, as a result of an overly zealous schedule, they will probably be banged up and will lose to Bridge City to. They then travel to Wills Point, a playoff team from the year previous, and could easily lose that one as well. That puts them 1-5 or 2-4 going into district, not because they are a 1-5 team but because they "over-scheduled". Hope it doesn't happen but I think the odds of it going just as I predict are pretty good. On the other hand, I may be completely wrong and the KATS may surprise the world. That would be great. But, there's nothing wrong with asking the questions. We'll see! OLD-WILDCAT...Many of those bench-warmers at Vidor would be starting at KV so let's not belittle those players. It's a little harder to start when you have a larger pool of players to compete against. That's not a dig against KV or its players but it is a fact. Vidor has 250lb lineman who rarely get in the game. At KV, that player (because of his size) would be on the field, assuming he could at least tie his shoe and find the huddle. GOOD LUCK TO YOU!!! By the way, I heard Alabama may have an open date on their schedule. Maybe KV should play them too. Would be a great primer for district.
Your gonna need something bigger than 250 pound lineman to stop 45 william tyler cant wait to play yall. And btw dont worry about the schedule we picked yall need to focus on maybe playing a little bit better in district this year because all of southeasttexas knows yall by overrrated.
 15. LeFredrick Ford will have a better season this year than last year he is an amazing running back pretty good chance he will be that Willie Ray Smith award winner next year.
 16. There are some great players listed on that list and I forgot Jamal Charles won it twice
 17. Sounds like this Daingerfield bunch is pretty much loaded for the next 4 years
 18. Im glad Jeremy Johnson won this because he truly was the best offensive player in south east texas
 19.

Kirbyville will not be ranked in the top 10 but after week 10 they will be. Honestly I dont see many teams containing LeFredrick Ford in our regular season games. Even if they do contain Ford theres other weapons like Caleb Cucancic (reigning 22-2A MVP), Burman Ervine, Keandre haywood. and could go on and on.with more weapons in the Kirbyville offense. The Bi-District and Area playoff rounds wont be easy for Kirbyville but they should win them. I look for Kirbyville and Carthrage to meet up in the regionals and the winner wins the state championship.Go Kirbyville
With Carthage moving to Reg 2 I believe the only way they can meet up in the playoffs is the title game...  Or am I wrong that in 3A Reg 3 plays Reg 2 in Regionals?....thought that 3 & 4 played winner of 1 & 2 in finals?
correct you are
 20. It by no means will be a cake walk there gonna have to play betters teams closer to there own ability unlike last year but it wont be impossible for Kirbyville to have a top 10 ranking and go deep into the playoffs.
