Good news: 2 out of Boland's 3 losses came to Brenham.  8) Bad news: The lefty is only a junior, and is getting better and better....  :-\ Anybody going to Round Rock next week? 

Looks like they are going to have to take whatever they can get, like we did with Pope John.

Boland pitched a 3 hit shut out & had 3 RBI's!  Clutch!

[/quote] At the begining of the year, I did pick Montgomery to win 17-4A & the region this year!  Got half of that right.  If we can't go to Round Rock, I'm glad it's y'all who are going.  It's a great experience and the kids and fans will love it!

Congrats to the 4A region 3 champs, the Montgomery Bears!  A very classy program, making their 2nd trip ever to Round Rock. (Last trip was 2005) I'll be there supporting you guys!  Bring the title back to region 3, where it belongs.  The best baseball is played in region 3, not the coastal bend! Thanks to the Bears, 17-4A has won the region the last 4 years!

(hbp, hit the lead runner in the head trying to turn 2, both runners advance on a wild pitch, shallow line drive to center keeps LC from tagging up, after a full count several pitches were fouled off but eventually Bolland K's the batter for the 3rd out)

Lamar Consolidated is playing pretty sloppy.  You can't do that against a team as talented as Montgomery.  *2 runners picked off *given up 5 runs on 3 hits

9 outs away! It's a good year to go to RR too....  No Brenham, WF Rider, CC Calallen or CC Moody. (3 of those 4 teams have been there 2 years straight)
