Stratford @ Brenham is a huge game for the Spartans.  To keep their playoff hopes alive, they need a win and they Magnolia to beat Montgomery.  I'm sure we will get their best shot, but they will be playing us at Fireman's Park, and it will be senior night.  To top it off, I think we will be in our camo jerseys, because it will also be salute the troops night. (undefeated in the camo) ;D

I was walking through the parking lot to the field, and I was greeted by what appeared to be a couple of drunk Magnolia fans/parents yelling, "yall are going down tonight!  Bulldogs gonna take a bite out of that a**!  Woof!  Woof!" ::) All I could do was walk by with a big smile on my face and say, "wishful thinking, huh?!  Your gonna need more than 1 run to beat us...  As you learned earlier this year!" ;D Gotta love high school sports, and the rivalries!

It's become quite a rivalry as of late, when these 2 teams get together.  Magnolia needs to win this game and their next one to be co-district champs with Brenham.  They would also have to hope Stratford can upset Brenham next week.  If Brenham wins either game, they will win 17-4A outright.  Two years ago, a Magnolia player plowed over the Brenham catcher, breaking his nose.  The Bulldogs went on to win that game and the district championship that year.  I'm sure nobody in Brenham has forgotten about that...
