1. Finally, a real game!  First pitch is at 6:00, from historic Fireman's Park.

They have a long way to go but you should see a lot of improvement this year from the Jags. Tough going though, playing in probably the toughest 4A district in the state. I'm rootin' for them, though.
Toughest?  IMO, 18-4A has proven to be the toughest.  20-4 is very competitive though.
This is the way I see it for toughest Region 3 4a baseball districts IMO 1. 18-4a 2. 24-4a 3. 19-4a and 20-4a 4. 23-4a
I agree.  I think 19-4A and 24-4A are close though.

 4. I'm putting in a bid on having a show further west atleast once.  Give Brenham, Montgomery, Summer Creek and the Houston area a chance to attend.  I'm sure we could draw a bigger crowd than PNG VS Ned.  (Shouldn't be hard)
 5. Belton adds 1, while Brenham does the same. End 5 Belton    5 Brenham 2
 6. Cubs get a triple, but can't capitalize. End 4 Belton    4 Brenham 1
 7. Belton puts up 4 and strands 2 in the 3rd.  Brenham leaves 1. End 3 Belton    4 Brenham 1
 8. Joswiak got the start Brenham.  Both teams strand a runner. End 2 Belton    0 Brenham 1
 9. After 1, an RBI double by the Cubs is the difference. Belton    0 Brenham 1
 10. Starts Saturday at 10:00 at Fireman's Park.
 11. 1. 18-4A: For the last 4 years a team from this district has won the region. 2. 19-4A: Solid from top to bottom. 3. 20-4A: Very competitive and slightly edges out 23-4A & 24-4A.

Summer creek = 2 rounds deep Nederland = 4 rounds deep and beating the number one team in the state!
so your saying because sc play gt before nederland that makes nederland better. Also I hate to break it to you but but pearland dawson was not the #1 team in the state or they would have won state.
Makes sense to me....
 14.
Like you said Brenhamfan its based on what is coming back. Montgomery and Magnolia both know that Brenham is the still the one to beat. I really think its better to be the underdog, easier to motivate the team. Montgomery know its has to jump that hurdle to win district, but at least they have done it before unlike the football team and the way they raised their game in their playoff run last year gives them some confidence.
I agree that Montgomery should have some momentum after that deep playoff run.  That should help them a lot, a long with a tough schedule. (The Woodlands, Kempner etc.) Brenham has Moody, Houston Lamar & several other tough games before district, which will help us.  We just need to find some pitching.
 15.
WHOA!!!!! :o :o  Brenham is not there?  :)
We called in sick last year. (Even at 9-2)  We'll be back soon!  ;)

 17.

;D now I am optomistic. I am glad the kids will get new direction. They were clearly being lead in the wrong direction. Change is relevant. The jags need to clean house completely. It's all about the kids.
So how do you think the Jags will do with a new HC and probably a new system?  Playoffs??
(Jim Mora voice) "Playoffs?  Don't talk to me about playoffs!  Playoffs, heck we'll be lucky win another game....  Playoffs...." Jk  ;D
 18.

Anyone know anything about Summer Creek?
I don't know much, other than they took us 3 games last year in the bi-district round.  I didn't get to catch the series, cuz I was out of state,  so I don't have any details.
 19. Interesting.... Brenham is not only outside the top 10, but is picked 3rd in district 18-4A.  The district is always a guantlet, but we've won district year in and year out for the past couple years, so I'm kind of surprised by this.  I'm sure it's because we lost so much pitching, but we also return a Rice commit in CF and other experienced players.  No Coach Long this year, but I have faith in coach Williams.  Time to play the unusual underdog role and enjoy some Brenham Cub baseball.  Hurry up baseball season!
