  1. Honestly, It's really nice to have gone from having only 1 stadium (The Reservation) with at least truf. To having 4 staduims (P.A., The Reservation, BISD and Lamar) with truf and all having some great features to appreciate in only one season. I would attend a playoff game at anyone of them any weekend and will, no matter what it cost. Just wonder why it took so long for such die hard Southeast Texas football fans to get the facilities we and our kids deserve. This is an historic time in S.E. Texas to be watching any kind of state playoff game in the second round here at home. Hopefully we'll get a chance to watch a few more playoff games this year and several in the future. Don't forget S.E. Texas still retains the title of the Pro Football Capital. And we have some great facilities in the area to display that talent now. (Some of the young poster under 35 may not know what I'm talking about)
  2. Let's do the math. Lamar (Prov-Hump) Ticket into the game $7 Parking $5 Or a mile walk (round trip) if your cheap. The "Butch" Ticket into the game $7 Parking "Free"  That's an extra boudin or nachos and a drink for the Kids. Plus the closet seats to the field in the area on the first level. And the chance to holla words of encourgement to my son. (Priceless) See ya Friday at the "Butch" How bout them Jags !!!!! Oh almost forgot to mention the best tailgating facility in the area And just think what the "Butch" will have to offer after the "Waldrof Astoria at the "Butch" is opened. Probally will be $10 for parking then. So enjoy it now.
  3. Hold that thought. You may not have seen an explosive offense like you will see tonight. Let's revisit this thought about 10p tonight. You may have a change of thought after watching a real defense as well.
  4. After watching these kids from LCM give Pearland Dawson all they could handle in a 7 on 7 tournment in Texas City this summer. All I can say is they are for real. Ozen will have thier hands full containing these kids as well as everyone else in the district. Being a Central fan I'm hoping our game against Livingston gives our kids in the secondary a little more experience to handle the passing game and the D line and linebacking core the oppurtunity to find that old Jaugar knock your "D" in the Dirt mentallity. Say what you want. LCM is the real deal this year and they have waited a long time to get there. And finallly may have done a better job recruiting kids then Hooks has. LCM by 14 over a banged up Ozen thanks to Central.
  5. Actually, If we had some folks in the BISD Athletic Dept. that had some insight to what big time football is about. Both Central and WB games should be arranged at the same venue for next week if possible. I'm thinking Reliant.
  6. Tonight wins was ugly to say the least. And us true Jag fans have gotten use to the ugly grind it out to the last second wins. But here is what really made the difference for the Jags tonight. Grinding out a 6 point lost to WB. In which Central controlled every aspect of this game but the final score. But never gave up Grinding out a 1 point win over Vidor after giving up 56 points. And never giving up. Grinding it out with the premier PNG for 2 overtimes for a 3 point loss. And I'm not going to comment on the questionable calls by the Refs. and our coach. But we never gave up And all the grinding it out all season paid off big tonight. And most importantly never giving up. Now we got a 1 point chip on our shoulders that's a year old. So for Friendswood. We have not forgotten and guess what? We are never giving up. See you guys in the VID Section next week. .
  7. Only 5-9 maybe 5-10 with high cleats and currently about 190.
  8. Forgot to mention Keonis is my son and my opinion may be a little biased. OK maybe a lot. But he's a great kid with a lot of patience and we are all excited about his future not only as a quarterback but as a young man.
  9. Unfortunately he is playing for the same coaching staff that decided to punt the ball on 4th and 3 against Livingston in the fourth quarter with less then 5 min. in the game and down by one. And you have 3 running backs that average 5+ yards/carry. That may be the reason we have a manager as quarterback and not a game changer. Those guys are a little to smart for me to figure out.
  10. I know the kids at Central will show up and represent as usaual. Just hope our coaching staff finally shows up and represent these hard working kids with some decent locigal football savy play calling for a change. Went through 2 tough weeks with some questionable play calling that in the end cost these kids a possible district championship. Guess that what we get in an old school coach.
