HaHa! LMAO!  They must have a grudge against FW.  We all know better.  UNDENIABELY FW is one of the premiere teams in the state.  Did someone from the Setx put that poll together?  FW would B  slap half those schools.

Sure, i ll let you know how that game goes.  That other Lamar player I believe is the defensive linemen that is going to UT Hes the one the coaches and refs pulled out for starting fights.

i believe brenham plays hst lamar  in the first few wks.  FW scrimmaged them last Sat.  They have 4 D1 recruits and the Fw coach said said there defense is very stingy.  Apparently Fw marched down the field on their first possesion and scored what would end up being the only points by either team.Overall it sounded like FW was pleased with the performance against a good 5a team. I thought you may be interested Brenham Fan.

im going way out on the limb here but im going to predict an all 24 4a regional finals for both d1 and d2!  Laugh now but i think its more likely then people will admit.  If both g ball and dawson make the playoffs that would send friendswood d2 along with probally manvel.  Last season they had 3 of 4 but that was with angleton which i know was very good.  brenham beat em that day but they wouldnt win that game on a regular basis. Last year santa fe gets in a coin flip.  Not to take anything away from them but manvel would have been a much better playoff team.  My point is this conference should have no issues getting in 4 very solid teams.  lamarque will also be back on the rise so imo their is 5 qualoy teams vying for playoff births.  Dont be shocked if this is what we see.  Brenham and Angleton will be the only two that could break this prediction up.

Friendswood vs. Stratford in week 3 is a very intriguing matchup.  Should give Brenham and MontyG some idea of what to expect of their new member.

top two fw and dawson-can compete with anyone in state.  lamarque.ball.manvel have ability to make nice playoff runs and could spoil a favorites .season.  texas city and santa fe not your typical cupcakes. they would beat up on most teams that are ranked at the bottom of their conference.look at the conferencrs and show me better.

i doubt fw will be too concerned with the wos speed.  they face that  on a regular basis.  im so sick of  people talking about speed and fw not being prepared for it.  every year we hear the same garbage.  dayton is so fast, bmt central is so fast, nederland is so fast.  look at the results folks ots a football game not a track event.  i dont know about everyone else but i know fw puts football players on the field and good ones.im no sure why people think fw is slow,they have speed in the right positions just maybe not the wealth of it as some teams  once again they have football players that are very well coached and they flat execute better then pretty much everyone.  with that being said leave the track shoes at home it wont work to well for anyone.

ok bh what conferences from top to bottom are better?  two years ago friendswood is in state semis, last year angleton and fw are in quarters and dawson advances to semis.  just curious who you put above, very curious to know?

thanks for the info.  im glad to here they are expanding that stadium,its nice but too small for that school in my opinion. i thought fw was extending them a courtesy of a neutral site to help level the playing field.  is deer park a decent alternative venue?  ive never been.

Gentlemen,  the bottom line is that all the teams that you are debating over have zero chance. Against this list: angleton,brenham,friendswood,dawson,manvel,stratrord,and ill go out on the limb and put montgomery on this list.  Instead of arguing you should all pull together because once the playoffs roll around your seasons will come to a screaching stop!  Oh yeah one last thing, png will NOT beat Texas City back to back.  TC wins this one.

i just looked at fw schedule, i would have to rank wos 3rd as far as non conference goes.  angleton would be 1, houston stratford(potential surprise team coming down from 5a) at two and a poor 5a channelview 4th.  i thought dayton always played fw what happen to that matchup?  that was a good one.  fw conference will be brutal theres not to many breaks in that schedule   dawson will be good and i hear alot of excitement for manvel   galv. ball is also coming in but i dont think they will quite as good as the above three.  its strange when you dont even consider tc and lamarque to be a threat but im sure they will find a way to be very competitive.  hs version pf the sec.

people in the friendswood area are predicting the mustangs to be a pretty special team over the next few years. apparently they have a wealth of young talent and they have been dominant. this info comese from people that support other teams in the area so no bias.  i personally dont see a 3a school going in there and winning but thats why they play the game

i live in the fw area but my kids are in the clear creek isd.  i ve been hearing from good sources that this fw team has a lot of young talent and easily has the chance to be better then the past teams.  As far as who will win, I don't know, fw has faired well against teams from that area is all I know.  We are clear springs charger fans, expectations are high over here!

You all can  cheer for 24-4a(Frienswood or Dawson).  I feel horrible for everyone out that way that had their hopes shattered by 24-4a football , but the saying goes if you can't beat em...join em!

I don't think they knew what was instore for them today, they were overmatched on defense, offense, and special teams.  I predicted that from the get go but nobody from Central could accept that and theres still a few here that are trying to make excuses. I congratulate the Jags players on a nice season but I think some of their fans need to realize and admit they were in over their heads.
