Crosby and Dayton border each other out there on the farm land.  The post offices are probably less than 10 miles apart.

19-4a, just got news on a great coach and tremendous person getting reassigned within the school.

This is not the only school looking for a new head football coach.  Rumor has it there is another school reassigning their coach in this district.

The one thing I do know is that Chance will graduate from Baylor and have a free education from a very nice university.  I won't waste my time about Dayton Crosby rivalry, because those are 2 school districts that I would not work for.  I will stay in this higher paying district I am in now.

chance's mom works for the crosby district.  He was smart enough not to wear purple and is playing in the big 12 on Saturday's now.

I am amazed Merka is not MVP for a team that overachieved like gangbusters.  They lost a ton of starters from last years team.  Expectations were not that high at Crosby, but they had a bunch of kids step up and play.  Merka did a tremendous job for a kid with a bad hip most of the season.  Viverette is a good athlete, but his number of interceptions was way to high to be considered MVP for the entire district.

Coach Starnes is at Kingwood High, he did the retire, rehire thing.  he is quite happy working part time and not having to go into the school building.  Don't see him coming to the Hill.

Kingwood Park is going to stay 4a for many years to come. The district has designed the boundaries that way.

I think Viverette has about 24 int's.  Far from the best qb's.

I still go through there on my way to Texarkana to see family.  I remember that my dad said the Garrison field used to be unlevel, and when you win the toss, they said lets go downhill.  There is still a billboard with the trainstop info of Tenaha, Timpson, Bobo and Blair on 59.

Hey Bobo and Blair, you left off Tenaha and timpson.  Can you sing the song that puts those  east texas towns together?  My dad coached at Garrison in the late 50's and he used sing that song.

I will take PNG over Friendswood any day.  They definitely have proven to be winners and a bette tradition than the prairie they call Friendswood.  I am not sure where anyone got the idea that Friendswood is god's country.  If anyone knows anything about Angleton, they know that is team anyone will have to go through to get out of this region in their bracket.

He might be the offensive mvp, but he will not be district mvp.  The district mvp will more than likely come from Crosby district champs or Dayton.  Just depends on who each coach nominates.  You and I both know that Demartie is a TURD!  I can't believe the Sun dissed your boy, they should have covered all three kids.

Allen won't be district MVP because there are several coaches who won't vote for him.  He is a jerk and talks smack to coaches and players on other sideline.  You have to remember that it is the head coaches who get to nominate and vote at all district picks.

I am very happy for the kids.  Hope they enjoy this time.

Barbers Hill has as good a coaching staff as anyone in this district, or around this area.  You are bashing a quality coach and don't what you are talking about.  But that is par for the course for people who think they know more than they actually do.

That is right.  Anything other than an 18 point win by King leaves King on the outside.  GCM is in excellent shape to finish 3rd.

Angelton is the best team in this region. They are the ones someone has to beat to get out of the region. Haven't seen anyone that can do it without poor performance by Angleton.

I know that GCM won't lose the last 2. King cannot stop the lighthouse for the blind this year. They are terrible on defense and can't outrun anyone. It is totally different place than in the past. As long as GCM can get the snap, they will score at least 40.

GCM will win both games. King cannot beat Dayton, and North Forest can't beat anyone. That eliminates several scenarios.

The UIL never does things logically. It is always a surprise. A few years ago King got sent south to Texas City, Lamarque while GP, Crosby, Forest Brook, Dayton all drove right through Sheldon to play each other. One would have thought that GP would have gone South since they are the southern most school in that district. When it is announced everyone will know.
