  1. Found this on Maxpreps about Elgin: Led by Senior QB Tyler Swenson and Senior RB Derrick Falke, eight starters are back on offense for the Wildcats. In the second year of coach Danny Lauve's system, the adjustment period should be over and returning talent is in the fold. "Athlete" Justin Lee is a player to watch; he must be contained. Tight End Stevie Haywood is another offensive option. The offensive line is in pretty good shape too. On defense, four starters are back, and that unit must tighten up to lift the burden on offense. Things are on the upswing. Their offense is averaging 325 yrds per game and defense is averaging 300. I hope Dayton's "D" can contain them.
  2. Air Force - 1986 to 1991. Desert Storm vet. GO BRONCOS!!!!
  3. Easy trip my hind foot! I just read where Lake Travis is back in the D2 line up! YIKES!! put your glasses back on they are division I. I'm sorry man, but there are 2 other schools that went Div. 1 that are bigger than Lake Travis. Just look up the UIL web page. [Hidden Content]

  5. The game is broadcasted on the right channel. Liberty is on the left. However, it may be hard to distinguish the games on the right channel as the Liberty game ALWAYS bleeds over. > I believe the game is clearer on kshn.com though.
  6. In light of Coach Stewarts comments, what do y'all think?
  7. Not only that, but while I was still in shock from the one handed TD catch they pulled off that FANTASTIC 2 point conversion!!! All I could say was WOW for about 5 to 10 minutes!!! :o I would LOVE to see the video of both the TD and the conversion! Hey Purple did you get it too?
  8. Talk about NC...NO CLASS!! Ok...the better team did win tonight...no excuse. The Broncos are obviously having some trouble. But keep in mind, although we will never know, the Broncos did lose five, count them FIVE of their BEST defenseive starters. Friendswood did come with their "A" game and took it, including prime turnovers by the Broncos. BUT keep in mind that we learned from our mistakes playing you guys and look how far the team goes. Coach Stewart is no dummy! Why else does he schedule The Mustangs? Y'all have won five years in a row now. Put that under your belt...but the way you come back on this forum makes you no better than any other trash talker we've encountered. Goodluck to The Mustangs on their season. I wish them well.
  9. Dayton/Friendswood JV 32-0 Friendswood I'm sorry, I had said 9th grade in earlier post. I have a nephew that was the freshman team last year and I have a tendency to still think of him there. MAN these kids are growing fast!

  12. ;D ;DYou go MAN!!! You DEFINITELY make Dayton proud to be your home town!!! ;D ;D Good luck to you this season, and I am DEFINITELY going to enjoy watching the Broncos with another KILLER season!! GO BRONCOS!!!!!!
  13. What I want to know is...where are all the Barbers Hill fans going to sit after the Dayton fans arrive?? ;D ;D ;D Seriously though, You guys REALLY need to upgrade/expand the visitors side!!! Anybody know where the Baytown Memorial team will be hosting their games?
  14. Just got an email from Jake Shaw from DCTF. Here's what HE says: I disagreed with our pick online and think Dayton will win. I think Dayton can score with Lake Travis. The difference in the teams is Dayton’s defense – it’s better and faster than LT’s. Bottom line … I don’t think Dayton has played an offense as good as Lake Travis’ … and I don’t think Lake Travis has played a defense as good as Dayton’s. I’d say Dayton by 3. Second bottom line: I wish I was going to the game. I like his thinking WAY better!!! ;D BTW, he picked Dayton all the way from round 1.

  19. I would like to thank all the Lumberton fans for the support they showed the Dayton band during the half time show. I was extremely overwhlemed by the response given. It was the first time the show was presented in its entirety. I sincerely hope y'all enjoyed it! Thanks again!
  20. From the rhetoric from the previous game, I was wondering if he started more soph's to keep some starters off the field as an attention-getter?
  21. I had heard that Coach Stewart stated on the radio that he was starting 9 sophomores for the NAC game. Any truth to it?
  22. Dayton beat Angleton, that is, even though they were in district 21-4A. Which is supposed to be a weak disctrict.
