1. Here is praying that he is okay and it does not get worse and that if it won't interfere with his health that he may return to the octagon. I think that his short time in MMA alone has made most of the UFC HW's have to rethink how they train and prepare. So it has been a good thing IMO.
2. I am definitely now much more of a fan of Penn than I used to be. Always thought he was a good fighter but now he is looking pretty darn great.
3. Definitely not as good as the previous PPV for them with Sanchez losing to Penn. Baseball I also do the wings thing instead of paying for them. I mean I can drive to Baytown, eat some good food, watch the fights for free and my tab is still at least 20 bucks cheaper than staying at home and watching. Serioulsy i think we out to try and get a get together for one of the upcoming fights. Get everyone to admit where they live and try and find a spot close to as many as possible and meet up for the PPV. I am game if anyone else is.
4. Now that is funny right there. But serously I heard (and yes i know what that sounds like) that they are looking to go with a former local boy that used to be a big deal for them back in the day. Anyone else heard anything similar?
5. I don't believe anyone said he is the best but Fedor is called the best HW and yet he does not fight the best HW fighters all the time. Not that all his fights have been against cream puffs but they have not been top ranked guys either. Yet again this is all conjecture and we probably won't see Fedor in the UFC or see most of the best UFC heavies fight anywhere else so it is a moot point.
6. I agree with baseball, I think that Penn is too good for his class and needs to move up. I mean he cuts weight to hit 155, not much but he does cut. He has had success earlier at 170, I also agree about wanting to see Faber fight in the UFC, but he is not even the LW champ in the WEC so that won't probably happen any time soon.
7.
yes work on speed strenth agility no one should play football year around to much on body..............go to camps
I agree. Best advice to this kid is to hit the weight room and off season program in the current school he goes to and get in better shape for the next season. Select football may have something positive to offer, but IMO this kid will learn more by going through a tough off season workout regimen and picking the brains of the high school coaching staff at his school as well as going to the high level camps held at many of our colleges here in the state. Have him start asking the guys who are going to be calling the shots what they need him to improve on and what he can do to do that. Unlike baseball or track, football is a sport still where the kids are going to get noticed by what they do on Friday nights, he needs to develop the physical skills necessary to carry out the plays and defenses being called. I know of a couple of kids who went to camps over a few seasons in the spring and summer and developed and grew in strength and those coaches remember them and kept an eye on them. Those kids then signed somewhere. But as we all know, not everyone gets to go to the next level.
8. Kongo sure did not have much to say afterwards! i guess for once Frank backed up his smack and then some. But I am curious as to how it would have gone had he not landed that one big overhand left. I mean with 4oz. gloves pretty much everyone has a punchers chance and Kongo is pretty tough. But he did land it and so on to the next guy for Mir. I would love to see Mir/Carwin. BTW, exactly what is wrong with Lesnar anyway. i know it is something serious but I forgot what happened.
9. The interim route did not go too well for Frank, hopefully this one goes a little better. But sometimes I wish Frank was not as good as being a jerkwad during the prefight interviews. I know he is just playig the game but I like him and it is very hard sometimes to listen to him without getting annoyed sometimes.
10. BJ dominated that entire fight. He is not the best pound for pound guy IMO, but he's in the top 5 for sure. Diego looked like he did not what to do. He could not take him down and BJ was way faster than he expected with the hands. I agree with BJ, I think now we should all stop using he "cardio" slam against him. He has gone the distance or at least the 4th round in his last three title defenses and won handily against three good guys in Sherk, Florian and now Sanchez.
11. Frank looked about 30 pounds heavier than last fight and mostly in the legs, looked like tree trunks for thighs. If he ever gets to teh form he had before the wreck added with this new strength and size he could maybe give Brock a run for the money. Mir/Lesnar III coming soon to an octagon near you!
12. Like they say, I have a punchers chance! :P
13.

I think one of the safeties is 3 or 4 in his class.  Smart kid.  Do you think Barbers Hill will look to bring in a big name, not sure who is available, or maybe poach an OC from a nearby school with a good program.  Seems like it would be a pretty tough gig on the hill if the A.D. doesnt have carte blanche.  Too many cooks in the kitchen tend to spoil the stew and make an average football team.
They need to stay the heck away from Dayton.  ;D We need to shut down 146 and 1409 and keep them away from our staff.  ;D Honestly, Dayton has some that are extremely capable and that would be fun to watch!
Just saw a BH Vehicle headed up Beltway-8 towards Hwy 90 turning East.  Looked like a bag of money on the back with a card on it saying "Stewart"..........not sure about first name though....... ;D ;D ;D
Considering that Stewart is building a new and very nice house right next to the stadium I doubt he is leaving any time soon.
14.

Why would the head coach from Marshall want the job?  Marshall is loaded with athletes.  I think they just got beat in the playoffs.
that's what I was thinking. Maybe he's trying to bait marshall into giving him more money.
What a coach bait someone into a bigger contract, that does not happen in Texas. ;D
15. First of all, Schaub has promise. Dana believes that and don't be suprised if we see him with a smaller contract. Roy Nelson is just like they said on the show. All people doubt him and all he ends up doing is winning. He has a good rrecord and is not afraid to fight anyone. Plus with his experience he may end up getting some better fights early on in this contract than some of the guys some of the other past winners have received. The biggest knock against him is that he just looks wrong for a fighter. But the man have over 15 wins, that is not an easy feat. My record is currently 0-0! Kimbo show a huge progression from his last fight against Petruzelli and even nelson to this one against Alexander. Houston Alexander is considered a pretty good fighter and yet was dominated. Was it the most exciting fight, not necessarliy but it was not boring either. You can blame the lack of excitement for this group from the fact that you had a couple of young guys on there, Schuab being the only legit one with a future. A couple of former NFL guys with "retard" strength as Mitrione stated, and none of them looked good at all. Mitrione showed a little more than he did in the house and Dana loves guys who stir the fans up and he does that for sure so I bet he will get some fights also. The thing that I hate is that the heavyweight division is filled with guys who are either being pushed to cut to 205 or beef up to handle the freaks like Carwin and Lesnar. Maybe they need to do a  retooling of the classes. Make one from 185-195, then do a 195-215. then do another one that is from 215-245. then put the bigger guys in the 245 and up class. The classes I suggested may not be the best ideas as far as amount of weight betweeen upper and lower ends but this is why Kimbo is dropping to 205.
