I agree with sportscard and coop. Weight lifting is central to most sports. Strength will make you better in every sport.

I was at the meet in Nederland and was truly impressed with the organization of it. My hat is off to Nederland. To say something about the league thing between Buna and several others, I don't know, but I called and tried to get an invite to Buna and was told it was full. Maybe their space is limited and that's why they only take a few teams. On the other hand if they did get together with some others that stinks. It doesn't hurt my feelings if they handle their business that way. It does hurt the kids though. It keeps out some competition for the lifters that do get invited. They may out lift their little league, but what about some of the lifters outside their league? There are some really heavy lifters outside of the 4 schools mentioned. An example is that big lifter from Jasper. I don't want to stir ya'll up, but way back when I was in school everyone who could be got an invite and good old competition happened. Everyone tried their best and had a good time.

Can anyone give me a list of the meets in this area?

I agree Giddings scored 21 points, yet COOP says the WO-S defense stopped them. You couldn't get a WO-S fan to admit to being beat bya better team to save the world. Their team is always the best and there are always outside circumstances for the loss. weather, refs, OC play calling, maybe the footballs were over inflated or maybe under inflated., or the drinking water had too much ice in it or it wasn't cold enough, What ever the reason WO-S is at home watching football on t.v.

It sure gets old listening to every school blame someone or something other than the opponent when they lose. It is never that the other team just flat out beat them. It's not just ya'll WO-S fans, it's everyone. Please stop blaming the losses on everything other than plain old getting your butts beat. When everyone reads this and gets all upset please keep your composure and think before you type some ignorant response to the truth spoken in this post. AMEN
