  1. Congrats to all the kids and parents of the kids selected for this honor. Does anyone know how the teams are selected (stats, coaches nominations, etc.)?
  2. Tough break . My prayers and thoughts go out to him and i wish him a speedy recovery. This is only a test and i think he is the type kid to past this test. Good luck , God speed.
  3. well there is good news and bad news from sat. nights game. The good news is West Brook is young and hopefully coachable and can learn from some of the mistakes , misques, and game experiences. Ozen can look at the game , take some constructive criticism and grow the remainder of the yr. looking to the future of the program. The bad news is for West Brook the opponets get bigger, stronger , and faster. The offense is going to have to be more versatile , the defense meaner. For Ozen, they may have to take some lumps and endure some growing pains , and it might sting. Good luck to both programs the rest of the way .
  4. Point taken!!!! it seems that there is a small minority of coaches who have either lost the ability to teach the fundamentals, or don't know them enough to stress them . at any rate it is a troubling thing to see kids with ability not being given the tools to succeed. this is not just happening on the field by the way. for the kids sake i hope that this point is recognized by the right people (coaches) and the trend changes quickly. best of luck to PAM.
  5. YES they should. why? the purpose of all of this is to evaluate your players in a "game-like" situation. when players start flying around if there is no number to tract them with, you waste time in the evaluation process. that should be the only reason for numbers and scrimmages.
  6. i think both teams showed signs of life which is a good thing based on the last year we endured. i also think there is lots of room for improvement from both squads, so lets see what the coaches see and the adjustments they make in the coming weeks and i think this will determine the directions of the programs. lots of good talent in both camps lets see if the staffs can get the production out of what we see to be two relatively talented sidelines. good luck to both schools.
  7. i'm not shouting my caps button got stuck, i sorry( for our more sensitive listeners, readers). As for NS vs. Katy, I think NS is too atheletic and talented at the skill positions but Katy's discipline and numbers keep it close. i'll take NS.
  8. I agree Westbrook has some unproven guys, so i think thats a tad bit high but maybe the kids will meet their expectations or maybe over-achieve.
  9. KATY ALWAYS MAKES A GOOD PUSH WHETHER THEY ARE LOADED OR NOT, SOME PEOPLE CALL IT "COACHING". LETS SEE IF THE KIDS RESPOND TO THERE OPPONENT WITH SIMILAR PRODUCTIVITY. LETS WATCH IT UNFOLD AND NOT ARM CHAIR IT TO DEATH.
  10. What about Justin Jackson WB - DB - S - 5'9 - 180 lbs. Junior 2yr. Letterman 4.6 - 40 yd ? We hear he is a hitter!!
