  1. The '99 Southeast Texas Storm 10u travel team will be holding tryouts at the College Street complex on Sunday August 16th at 5:30 and again on Tuesday August 18th at 6:00. All girls with 1999 and 2000 birthdays are welcome to join us. We will be playing 1 or 2 tournaments each month in the Beaumont, Houston and Lake Charles area. Any questions please call Coach C at 409.790.0175
  2. Guidry pitched a great game. West End looked like an average T-ball team at times....allowed 5 runs in the second inning off of 2 hits, 2 hit batters, 2 walks, 2 wild pitches and 3 errors and the bases loaded when the 3rd out was made. It could have been a 10 run inning. If West End does not plat better tonight, it will be more of the same.
  3. Redbird, You must have posted from the game or had a phone call on the last pitch. The game ended right at 9:30pm....good reporting.
  4. Bridge City juniors played a great game last night. Barbers Hill was over matched from the first pitch. It was amazing that the host got the field ready to play after 1 1/2 inches of rain. Great job to the West End coaches and parents for pulling it off.
  5. 11/12 will definitely be West End. They are loaded. Juniors will probably be West End. Seniors will easily be West End as well. Juniors will definitely NOT be West End. Not only will West End have its hands full with Silsbee, but Tomball and Bridge City are just too strong. Seniors will not be West End either because most of their better players are playing select. West End beat Bridge City last night 4-0 on a no hitter. Tomball slipped by Barbers Hill 8-7. Tonight at 5:30 Barbers Hill and Bridge City in an elimination game. At 8:30 West End and Tomball in the winners bracket game. After seeing all 4 teams, there is not a team that West End can not beat if they play their game. If they had the 2 players that are at camp, there is no question West End would win sectionals.
  6. West End sent Amelia to the losers bracket last night by a 10-5 score. The game was not as close as the score. West End will not have 2 of their better players (due to a previous commitment) for the remainder of regionals and all of sectionals. West End will more than likely play Amelia for the championship Saturday and then again Tuesday if necessary.
  7. It looks like sectionals will be: Bridge City, Barbers Hill, Tomball and either Amelia or West End out of Beaumont.
  8. Do you know what districts make up sectional? I assume Beaumont and BC are two of the four teams. Are the others out of the Houston area?
  9. Is the BC 13-14 considered the team to beat? I understand West End or Amelia should win their district....who is the competition for BC?
  10. West End junior league (13-14) beat Spindletop Friday night 15-1. That leaves West End and Amelia in the winners bracket. They will play Tuesday night at 7:30 at Amelia.
  11. I understand winning is important, but honor and class should not be pushed aside at all cost.
  12. Congratulations! We need more 10u teams in our area...let us know when your team is together. There are other 10u's always looking for a game.
