Viverette & McDonald, two Seniors are battling it out for the starting job. No underclassmen are in the running at all!

I think the Defense will be the strength this year, but I am a little concerned about the offense, maybe we can find a diamond in the rough with Viverette or Mcdonald.

Well today they will strap on the pads. There are several positions up for the taking, we will see how determined these young guns are!

BH had a strong Freshman group last year. Should be 3 or 4 that are making plays on Varsity this upcoming season.

To much Bronco for the C.E. King to contend with. It will be at least 3 TD's difference. Dayton 50 C.E. King 24

Where is all of this superior talent in the lower grades coming from? I saw the Freshmen play GCM and the talent gap was not that far. As a matter of fact, I'd call it even. Does BH have freshmen and sophomores on varsity? I only recall the Bellard kid playing for their varsity. Are there more The talent from the Freshman team has scattered. One of the Lb's is playing on Friday nights & the other is a starter on the JV. One of the best linemen tore his ACL the second game & is out for the year. And one of the playmakers from last years team had back surgery during the off season & is not able to play. The good news is that they will all be back & probably playing Varsity next year!

Game starts around 6:00PM. Not sure if Freshmen play before on not.

If you want to see some football, the Freshman & JV have picked up a game with Baytown Lee for tonight (WED). Freshman start at 4:30 & JV around 7:00PM. Games will be played at Sultis stadium located at Lee high shool, both games should be competitive.

Its official the BH vs Longview game has been cancelled due to Hurricane Ike!

Our JV game with NEDERLAND (thur night) has been cancelled, we probably won't know for sure about Friday's game until tomorrow late or early thursday. Waiting to see what Ike is gonna do!

Back in tha day I played football against McClure's Dad also a QB at Tenaha. I have seen Tenaha play several times in the last couple years & they are going to make some serious noise in 1A playoffs this year. HD will have their hands full but playing this type of talent but should only help get them ready for district!

Glad to see the article on #21 - Jared Smith in the Baytown Sun. Jared is a great kid on and off the field. Sometimes Jared will be on the sidelines cough and having a hard time breathing but always gives 110%. Jared is one of a kind.

Just wondering if anyone knows the school enrollments or a web site for enrollment info on this district. Who is the big school

Good game Eagles. Way to start your 4-A District opener. The defense was dominant as usual & the offense is looking much better. Lets get ready for the Crosby coogs now!

Got to go with the Eagles 38 to 14. The reserves should get some valuable experience on this game.

Good to hear that CE King is a running team. I do not know much about them. But I think a team that can't pass dosen't beat BH. Now I think you might be right about the top three in our district. I just hope they finish in the order you have them.

Bh would beat Newton, speed is not a factor BH has plenty. Check the box score on the Jasper game for BH & Newton you might see the light.
