I don't know who you are talking to, but Minick is 5 times the player Legato is. You can ask anyone. You must be getting all your information from Legato, because thats not right at all. I don't think Minick will get second in state, but dont say he can't make it to state. He should have went last year. He was up 4-1 in the third set of his match to make it to state. And even though he lost this shows that he can make it. And for Travis Conn(sense thats the only guy i know on that list of yours) he and Minick have played several time and they have split a few times. Don't bash Minick, hes a good guy and a great tennis player and i would hate for him to come on here and see this. You obviously dont know Minick, he is a really good friend of mine. So why dont you get your facts straight before bashing him.

Well i'll tell you this, If you go up to any high school coach and ask them about Hardin-Jefferson. They will say that they have a good player every year. I have never seen Hardin-Jefferson have not 1 good player. They bring something every year and that to me is a good coach.

And look at this, Minick beats Legato everytime they play. And Legato has a better record then Minick. Somethings not right, he told me that he has two or three matches that he had withdrawed from due to injury. But still I'm just telling you what i was told.

Dude everyone keeps bashing minick about his record and stuff but you look at the area and he is one of the best in the area, and one of the best in state. Whether we want to admit it or not. I agree i think Deaver will win against Minick, but he is still a really good player.

All i know is that hardin jefferson owes all there thanks to Jerry Creamer. He has done so much with all of them and they advance to regionals every year. And not many coaches can say that they have someone in regionals every year.

21 3a would definately be harder then the 2a district. Because the 4 or 5 of the 3a teams are well rounded and will be good. And 2a will only have kountze and east chambers. So 21 3a definately wins.

I haven't seen many dunks, but i did see Trey dunk. And it looked pretty good.

Its hard to bounce back when you get down bad early.

Well look back in the history of high school tennis, and look at Hardin Jeffersons records. And every kid that has won has come from Jerry Creamer. He has at least taught 3 kids who have won state titles. Ask someone about the Krawl brothers. Or how about Matt Wiggins and Wes Reed. Anyone from Hardin-Jefferson is coming from Jerry Creamer. And they have won district 20 something years in a row. Now im not a big tennis player, but i have hit with quite a few coaches and the ones who have taught me the most was Creamer and Wesbrook.

Hj doesn't have a boys doubles team. They have put their other good boys in mixed doubles. Or at least that is what i heard.

You two have to be from Warren haha.

People are making to big of deal about this bug guy. I have seen him play and any decent player out there could beat him. He can keep the balls in play, but they are all short. Any decent player would take advantage of him and completely smash him. But i will admit for a 14 superchamp, he is really good. Now when he becomes a senior, then we can start talking about how great he is.

Wow thats pretty bad record for Minick in my opinion. Its really funny though, he has played 18 super champs before and has beaten them, but he can't win in champs 18. And he is at least 1 of the 3 best players in this area. I know Minick and his family pretty well, I will have to ask him about that and get back to yall. As it looks in the records Deaver is clearly the winner.

Boone and Clement are not that good of a team. I will admit they are both pretty good players, but i have seen both play individually and together and they dont compare to the powerhouse players like Deaver, Minick, or Desai. As for Scott and Tyler, they have the potential as well as Boone and Clement, but both teams lack the determination. We will see how it goes later on in the year.

I haven't seen a faster serve then Deaver. Minick serves for placement, not for speed, and it shows haha. But Deaver by far in the guys. In girls i would say Aranda, by far.

Yes i have seen her play, and she is really good. Probably one of the best girls to ever come out of this area. But you must also look at this, she is playing in the girls division. Which of course is easier than the males. You put her up against Deaver or Minick and they will beat her. Or at least i would think so. Shes not the best mover and these two guys happen to move people all over the court. Dont get me wrong shes UNBELIEVEABLE. The best chance this area has at a state title. But it would be interesting to see Deaver Aranda Minick and another girl play mixed doubles. That would be fun.

Haha funny Glen. But you also have to think about this, Aranda plays in the girls bracket.

Well it all depends on what your talking about as well. The best coach in the area is Ron Wesbrook. And in second place i would say either David Wong or Jerry Creamer. But if your talking about High School, then i would say either Warrens Schroeder or Nederlands Lopez. The reason why is becasue Schroeder, even with the worst conditions out at warren, he still produces some pretty good players. Then Lopez is just a great player and he always has a team that is good. Never just one player.

And i just got news that if Minick and Deaver play again, it will be in the district tournament. Both of their schools have scheduled them at different tournaments through the year. Who does this help Minick or Deaver?

Well Deaver will dominate even more than he did this year, but besides him and then Scott from Warren. I think Tyler is graduating, but if not him too. Looks like it could be weak with everyone else. I dont know.

But you also have to put into consideration that there are no good teams in 3a or 4a. I went to one tournament to watch Matt Minick and then i went over and watched the other people from Hardin-Jefferson. And when i got to the doubles site, everyone was terrible. I see why they are winning. Dont get me wrong they are both great players. And they could win against some of the good teams. But they haven't really had any competition here. They need to play a good team to get some experience for that next round. How about playing Minick and Deaver. Wow! that might give them some problems.

I agree, this should be a fun few weeks.

Sutherland isn't a bad tennis coach

Well the season has begun (Usually the last few weeks in Feb), and it will end after the district, regional, or state tournament. I know the district 21-3A tournament is on April 4-5. Regionals is in the end of April. And State is the beginning of May. Thats usually how it works.

Well this is a hard topic, because most schools just draw out of a hat and say your coaching tennis this year. haha. But i would give my vote to either Kelly's Tony Fuselier or Warren's Schroeder.
