Hey Coop, could you get your hands on the WOS/Jasper game footage in '97? The regular season game.

One of the things I always noticed about PNG or Nederland is their fand are ALL dressed in Purple or Gold. ALL of them. That shows pride.

Oh I also think one of the best is the 2005 playoffs when we beat the snot out of Palestine. The performance wasnt even a player. It was coach Foreman of WOS dancing on the sidelines toward the end of the fourth quarter. He was getting down. Coach Foreman......dont quit yor day job Coop i know you saw this one.

One of my more memorable moments was "The Drive"(as Gary Stelley of KOGT named it). It was 1997 we(WOS) were playing Jasper. It was a close game all the way. With under a minute and a half we had stoped them on their own 10 I believe. We were down 14 to 16(if my memory is correct). The Jasper punter had been punting 10 yarders all night, so we thought we had it won right there. Well of course, he punts the ball SEVENTY yards not 7, 70!!! We get the ball inside our own 10 and thats when QB Jermaine Feathers,WR Jamal Lowe, and of course our sure handed TE jason Taylor went to work. Long story short, them three drove the field with SPECTACULAR catches. Jason Taylor makes a diving catch on the 33 yd line with 3 seconds left and barely calls timeout. We go on to kick a 43 yard fieldgoal with time expired to win 17-16. Just another classic between Jasper and WOS!!!!

We get Liberty???? hahahahahahaha Im sorry, but Liberty? Atleast we have some good teams in our district. It will actually be fun going to district games now.

Being the homer that I am, the WO-S fight song is pretty unique. Ive never heard it by any other team. I know its a rendition of the William Tell Overture(sp), but with our own style.

Hmmm very interesting. I also know that the West Orange Cheifs had that fight song also(before they were West Orange -Stark)

For the homer....WOS 85-98 For the all time, well since I can remember(Im 25) PN-G. there is something about that dang Cherokee that gets the hair on your neck raised. Believe it or not I used to look forward to playing PNG so I could hear it. Correct me if Im wrong, but didn't PNG steal that song from us?(WO) I also cant forget those beasts about 25 miles south of Houston on 45......... The Lamarque Cougars I played against them twice and they bring the crowd and the southeast Texas version of the MOJO.Not to mention both times I thought we were playing a D1 college. I thought it was against UIL rules to suit oit that many players Coop, you know what Im talking about :wink:

Ok, this is enough. I have respect for BC, but yall have NEVER beaten us!! Every year its the same old thing"we will beat WOS this year and so on. GET REAL!!! Wishfull thinking is great for moral but its getting old. Just shoot for second or third. Thats all yall will get. Let me emphasize that I do respect BC and will root for yall when the time comes. But I will not listen to the same trash year in and year out. I remember this stuff when I played. I believe we beat yall that year 63-0(or something close) GET OUT OF YOUR FANTASY WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
