1. They both have good strikers. Uruguay has Suarez (although he's been in a slump and hasn't scored much this past season) and Forlan, both prolific goal scorers but France has Thierry Henry with 226 goals in 8 seasons. Ribery may surprise us. I call either a tie or a win for Uruguay.
2. Okay, "rip" hahaha.. this is Chloe. Just thought i'd clear that up. I don't ever say anything on the forum, not since Freshman year.. and occasionally when my coach asks me to clear something up. I hardly ever get on it to read anymore but my dad told me you were thinking I was on here sooo I went through some trouble trying to remember my password to let you know.. not me! But thanks for all that you've said about me! See you next Sunday!
3.
PNG Girls Varsity is gonna dominate again this year winning district. It's a no-brainer.
As flattering it is that you support PNG soccer so much, please don't be cocky about it. Cockiness is not the way to support our team, it only serves as an embarrassment to the program by making out all PNG fans and players to be this way. It's unecessary. Support your team in a more productive way please, for the program and the players. Thank-you!
4. None of the Kelly boys or girls were included because Kelly is considered to be a private catholic school. These players were picked from the areas public schools. The two state premiere girls you listed were picked for that award out of the other private catholic schools in Texas... And there are not many of these schools in the sate of Texas.
5. Well minus the sign and autograph.. I would like to see that game. Would rather a team from southeast of Houston advance than a team up north, so why not. Where will the game take place and who against?
6. Ha no actually I'm a Lady Indian fan. If you look at my other posts then you will see that's the "obvious." I am just agreeing with Friendswood and think it is absurd that all of you Raiders fans think 9-0 is running up a score. The reason I know it was intentionally kept under ten is because our girls (png) had their second playoff game at Deer Park as did Friendswood. I arrived at the stadium early enough to catch the end of Friendswoods game in which I saw several of the players purposely shoot the ball away from the goal after the score reached 9-0.
7. No, 9-0 is not running up a score. If I must point out the obvious, this score is purposely being kept out of the double-digits. Personally, I believe the highest scoring game should be a 10-0 game, but nothing higher.
8. GREAT JOB LADY RAIDERS!!!!! What a great group of girls! Good try for the lady dogs. I'm glad I got to see the raiders go farther than ever. Cant wait to give waco midway a run for their money!!!!! The Lumberton lady raiders will not stand a chance against Waco Midway. But congrats on the win and for a great season.
9. Friendswood fan is right.. It's pure bad sportsmanship. Of course the jaguars couldn't prevent them from scoring they can't prevent anyone in this area from scoring.. So that can hardly be used as an excuse.
10. True I heard about this. That's good she kept playing and giving it her best though, all good soccer players battle through the injuries for the team... Especially in games like those.
11. I don't see how that hole is going to be filled.
12. maybe it's the lack of inflection in your voice that is making it come across as cocky!! : I wish the game had been played on a neutral site....would have settled it better...Ned lost at PNG , PNG lost at Ned (which app. you keep forgetting)...There is no doubt that there are talented girls that play well together on PNG, but DON'T discount the talent on NEDERLAND's team....and if we hadn't had some of our injuries it may have been a different game. No ill wishes, play safe and hard in the play-offs .....We WILL!!! Um.. what injuries? ONE starter did not play because she failed. That's it. The whole team was there, and in good condition.
13. You would have much more enjoyed this game. That was true PNG soccer. Hopefully you will get the chance in the playoffs.
14. And to get this straight.. they aren't co-champs. The rules for the girls district was changed this year so that this third game between PNG and NED decided the outright district champion and also the playoff seeding.
15. Now that would be a fun to watch as the regional final game. We'll post the results of tuesday.
16. It can't be determined until Nederland and PNG girls play tuesday to see who plays who in the playoffs.
