What is going on with Brenham baseball?

I see they are 3-6 now? When is the last time they had that rough of a start?

We have a new HC, and some restless fans.  Our pitching is down (except for one guy), and we need the bats to heat up.  3-6 is not acceptable.....

They are having another rough night tonight. It's pretty cold out here too. Down 8-3 in the top of the 6th to Lamar.

Cubs are starting to put some shots together and Lamar is shooting themselves in the foot with errors. 8-5 Lamar in the 6th.

Twice now the Cubs have gotten runners to second after the catch drops the ball on a 3rd strike. There have been 3 strike outs in this inning but only one out on the board. 8-6 Lamar, letting Brenham in the game. And just like that another error, and this game is tied. 8-8

Passed ball and the Cubs take the lead 9-8.

And after being down 8-2, the Cubs come back to win 9-8 over Lamar, who was 3-0 in the tournament. Cubs are now 4-6 for the season. Santa Fe up next.

  Teams in 18-4A that see Brenham every year know that they will be there at the end of the year and be the one to beat in district. They will turn it around, count on it. Montgomery knows better believe me.......

Lanny Williams. He was an assistant under Jim Long for like 16 years.

Sadly Santa Fe isn't making errors and the Cubs are getting hammered. It's 4-0 in the 3rd.

Well they were able to right to ship with wins over Lamar and Santa Fe but then got pounded by Bryan. They are now 5-7. This isn't the Brenham Cubs I'm used to seeing.

Boy the Cubs have come to life lately. They are currently beating Cy Fair 9-7 in the 6th inning in the semifinals of the Brenham Alumni Tournament.

Title team?  Doubtful, but they are still a team you don't want to see in the playoffs.  Very young, but we'll see.

Truly the mark of an excellent program to turn it around like this.  Proof yet again.....you can [b]never [/b] count this school out -- in any athletic event.
