I've only seen one game so far this year but Doty should be starting instead of #5.

That was the first game Doty has been eligible for. It was his first organized basketball game in 2 years. Remember he played football at Oregon for a year and had to sit out a year after he transfered to LU. If Mitchell can get 12+ a game and Doty can spell him and Minor and get 6 to 10 that's good production. Hondo (#5) looked pretty bad at point.

So even though he want involved with the Oregon basketball team he still had to sit out a year?

Yes. Its because he was involved in Athletics. NCAA rules govern all collegiate sports.

Ah...was just curious cause if he trasfered to the football team he wouldn't...I know that's FBS to FCS and basketball is just D-1...just assumed football to basketball wouldn't force you to sit out
