Neither team has a single starter who also plays FB. WOS has 4 kids and Ned has 3 who will come off the bench who play FB.

Question for Abe or any other NED fan. I keep hearing about Ned's Fab Freshman guard from Memorial. I keep hearing from several knowledgeable BB guys that he is the best ball handler in Ned and should be up on Varsity. Although, English usually keeps his Fresh down and together will this kid make the jump or will he play down all year?

We will see how that situation plays out.. With some guys out at the start of the year for football, he could play up on varsity.. But it is what it is for now

He transferred from Beaumont, I believe.

Anyway, he is very talented, and he COULD contribute on Varsity later in the year. As of now, he is not ready, IMO. if he is good enough, English will NOT keep him with the Fresh group simply to keep them together. As you may remember, Weisbrod was brought up mid season when he was a Freshman.

As far as being the best ball handler, he is good but not better than all of the Varsity kids. A true point guard is what this team is missing. Since he is a true PG, he may find a spot on this year's Varsity squad. Would love to see it so Z. English can be more of a scorer as he won't spend so much energy on bringing the ball up the court.

I have seen him play, and I believe he COULD be the real deal, only time will tell. Depends on his work ethic and his desire.

Kelly is also waiting on some players from football 2 starters most likely and 1 sub. Maybe more subs not sure. Also the freshman at Nederland that is really good went to Legacy for middle school I'm pretty sure. And he is real good.

Also I believe Kelly lost to WOS by 7 or something like that. Kelly should be pretty good this year all we are missing is size. And we are missing it big time.
