Best thing I saw for the Lady Bears was a number of girls contributing. It was a nice win for LCM and might be the start of a few more.

Without a doubt the best game LCM has played all year. The girls finally played a 1st Quarter and didn't have to work out of a hole! Several girls played very well and there were several that contributed a lot of good minutes. Hopefully they can carry this over into the Bridge City tournament next week. Things are definitely starting to look up for LCM. :wink:

Congratulations to the Lady Bears on the district "W"!

A quick start (something that hasn't happened in the past) paved the way for this victory. For the average sports fan, all they will see is the boxscore and that LCM won...for those that really follow LCM girls basketball you had to have been impressed with some of the improvements made. LCM is young; progress and improvement is the name of the game. The press break, forcing turnovers, protecting the ball, and defensive aggression were all much improved. LCM faded in the fourth quarter, but still fought hard and secured the victory. This team still has a chance to surprise some district foes if they put together 4 full quarters.
