LA Jetties

Made a trip Sunday afternoon,  after the storms, and WHAT A GOOD CALL IT WAS!  The Gulf slicked off,  ran wide ope all the way,  inside and outside of the jetties.  Then, the 3 of us caught 31 trout...ALL KEEPERS!  I've been fishing 108 years (seems like) and I have NEVER caught solid trout like that.  The real key is live shrimp tho.  We were within shouting distance of another boat who had 1 fish,  when we had 20.... and they got there way before we did.  But,  they were throwing artificials only.  We caught fish the entire time we were there.
We put up 20# of filets today!  :P

I watched Sabine Lake slick off in the afternoon and it made me sick...... that I was at work.

THAT really sux.  You'll be tagging them soon enough though,  I'm sure.

Going to try to hit them again this weekend  :)
