I'll tell you what's cool is to see the Broncos get off the bus after a season ending playoff defeat in front of fans w/posters of congradulations, cheers and a fireworks show and then run out as a group onto the practice field in a huddle chanting w/#1 finger raised. There is no losers @Dayton even in defeat we can celebrate our season 8) 8)

My team stays for their school song.

Your team is a made up program thats about a minute old...who is very lucky they're in crappy district or they wouldnt sniff a .500 season...

Staying for the school song is pomp and circumstance compared to, say, blocking and tackling...which is where Dayton shines year-in and year-out

When you guys put together a program like Dayton's...we'll discuss irrelevant points like staying for the school song

You and BHFan should start a support group for jealous townies

Well.... I'd be more impressed if they picked up an instrument and played along.

Jesus that was a good team. Best one I've seen since 2007 lake Travis. Manvel vs. Brenham wouldve been a great game. Manvel hasa no weakness except fumbles and kicking. Look for them to take state.

Why would Manvel VS Brenham be a good game, I think it would have looked similar to what we saw tonight.
I kinda agree!

It's a moot point but I don't.  Those were the two best teams I've seen and I would've liked to have seen them play.  Sorry, but Brenham's D was as good as Manvel's if not better.  Brenham offense wasn't as good.  Brenham also had the size to handle much of the bull rush coming from Manvel.  I know they played in a scrimmage and that's early on and I would've liked to see the real thing.

    • What the writer stated wrt crossover votes in the primary/runoff: "Covey and his supporters Paxton and Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick said Phelan only won because Democrats crossed over to vote in the Republican Primary for him. Paxton said Covey’s campaign identified “at least” 1,442 Democrats who voted early in Jefferson County in the primary runoff. Texas does not have party registration, but a voter’s primary voting history is public. The Covey campaign has not released its methodology behind its claim, but  This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up  by The Texan news website found that 9% of Republican voters in the March District 21 primary had voted in one of the previous four Democratic primaries. However, only 5% of that group had voted in all four previous Democratic primaries. What Phelan’s opponents did not mention is historically Democratic Jefferson County is undergoing a political transition towards the Republican party — the county judge switched his affiliation to the GOP in 2017 — so many residents have a mixed primary voting history. And Phelan’s allies in the House dismissed the idea that liberals swung the election. "I knocked on doors, hundreds and hundreds of doors, made calls for Dade,” Republican Rep. Jeff Leach, R-Plano, said on Mark Davis’ radio program Wednesday. “I did not speak to a single Democrat down here in HD21. Not a single one." "
